I have removed the server IP from the description at the request of its staff. Originally I got the owner's permission to post the IP publicly, but after I posted this video, the server got swamped by an influx of new players, which at first was a good thing. The server saw its highest average player activity in years. But it got to the point where so many new people were joining that it was far too much for the regular players and staff to handle. It's only a small server and they have limited resources. Because of this, the moderators and admins are all volunteers, they give up their free time to keep everything on the server running smoothly. It's not a simple matter of scaling up and getting more staff to handle the new players. You can't force more people to volunteer. So as unfortunate as it is, I will not be posting the IP publicly any more unless they give me the ok to do so again. TLDR; it's a small server and I inadvertently ended up "over-promoting" it
I'm more impressed by the welcoming nature of people on this server than the actual redstone. I feel like minecraft multiplayer gets so unbelievably toxic, so it's really nice to see everyone welcoming you and someone offering to teach you when you ask Kudos to you, kaptensalt, we need more players like you
That's why I think I like redstoners more than like pvp players or something, they seemingly tend to be nicer, although when they do have a bad person, their bad tends to be on par or worse then the worst from the other groups🙃
Flying machines 8x8 or even 100x100 is really easy once you learn the pattern. Unless you want sth fancy, like seamless mechanism or "cave" or "vault" shape.
The typical experience of a noob: How do I make a 4x4 piston door? The "typical" experience of a noob: I can now finally make an 8x8 piston door after a day of learning Redstone
@@Purplers It kinda makes sense, but still, if I logged onto a server and one of the first things I learned is that I can type only once every hour without a rank than I would go on a different server or a private world.
i joined the server and got mocked because i built a youtube tutorial 3x3 redstone door, then had people place stuff on my plot without trust. 10/10 experience, would build again
This is so wholesome! Some well-hearted fellow has taken the time and effort to teach a nobody redstone to find out it's his hero. There's alot to be said for people willing to help strangers, it reminds me of Hebrews 13:2 "Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it"
Make a Redstone build that requires 1 command block and the build only uses 1 command block to open the door but the redstone is main door open and command block powers the redstone and door is a 4 by 4
Noobs Actually Do This: They Use Steve Then Change To Alex For A Bit Then They Change To Steve Then They Get A Custom From A Website Then Maybe Make Their Own (After A Very Long Time Like 6-12 Years Of Playing)
Purplers: "my friend matt does have a very good series on how to build computers. i'll link it in the description" Also Purplers: Forgets to link it in the description.
I think that starting by learning how to make a 3x3 door is a bad way to start since it's quite complicated to understand how they work, especially if they're compact. Took me a year before I understood how the redstone of a 3x3 door actually worked. Maybe a 3x3 vault door would've been better
I remember i used to play on synergy. I got banned for the /remove command i executed (it removed all entities in tbe server, including minecarts, armor stands, etc.) I got unbanned for my fifth appeal, when I finally owned up to my mistakes instead of making up execuses on why I didn't do it. I thank the owner for such compassion. I wanted to learn redstone actually, but it seemed to complicated, and i felt i couldnt make up for what ive done. Maybe this video could help own up to my mistakes and learn even more.
Honestly, if someone claiming to not know redstone asked me how to make a door, I'd just craft a wooden door and plop it down in front of them and say "like that"
