Making small household repairs as a diy'er, this video is very helpful. In general, for powder-base stucco patch, for this size (which is similar to my repair project), is there a dry time for this before I paint? I was not planning on a clear coat. I will use the leftover paint from my professional painters that I hired two years ago, which looks like paint plus granules for a stucco-look. Thanks for the video.
Main key to patching is feathering edges and the texture. Oh and glueing before hand is key... .can't plaster over paint without it being glued before hand
not gonna stick without using a bonding agent applyed to the painted surface he should of busted out the weep screed at least do it right or dont do it at all yea stucco texture is off too
That is a terrible method for repair you need to replace that rusted busted out piece of J channel along that entire bottom unless they are just wanting a Band-Aid repair. That’s going to re-split in a matter of months and have a rust pouring out of it
no new J channel, no new metal lath, no break out, no grinding or basecoat and mesh application for cracking, no bonding agent, inferior material, drywall tools. This is all wrong - coming from a stucco repair contractor. Really is painful to watch.
