Of course he can. It’s just that those opinions & actions have consequences. His frequent spreading of conspiracy theories on Twitter drives away potential advertisers. So it’s bad for business.
@@robshastri1346 so if is good business you lie, cheat or say things you not believe in, or stay quiet. Like people in 30's Germany. That is what mainstream media do.
@@robshastri1346 Specifically *what conspiracy theories are you referring to?* Truth revealed in The Twitter Files exceeds the wackiest theories I'm aware of. "Bad for business" will be the oppressive Authoritarian regeme we've been sprinting toward, SpaceX and Tesla won't exist at all under the USSA and the USA can't continue via the utter evisceration of The Constitution as the DHS, FBI, NIH and most of the rest of The Establishment have effectively done. Get your head out of your rectum and see what really matters please.
@@robshastri1346 do you old this position for the other way? Because most tech ceos talk politics and donate to a political party and yall don't talk about them. Maybe this has more to do with intolerance of one side of the isle
Truth matters but so many pathetic self centered short sighted idiots think meaningless stock price action is more important. They should stay the hell out of TSLA just as Elon asked of them in 2018.
Very good interview! Thought CNBC was represented nicely. Just to clarify though, musk said he didn't care about the money. The truth is more important to him then his net worth. He doesn't care about his net worth.
People should really watch the full interview. It is very insightful. Musk gives real thoughtful answer, not some canned or rehearsed answers by other CEOs.
Best comment -- Takes 7-10 seconds to think about the question, then nails an answer. -- some guy on the internet. So refreshing, and distinct from the prolix and hack verbiage of typical pundits.
And yet, some try to say his genuine responses to the various questions thrown at him is a negative trait of his…why don’t we ever get the Prez of the US to answer non-rehearsed questions in an open fashion. The whole system has become lost in the woods…
working at home eliminates wasted time in commuting and saves money on office space etc. and is it morally wrong for some people to work indoors and others outdoors during inclement weather?
I find one flaw in the officework system, the trust deficit. At home I have my own security, privacy, and complementary sources for research. At work I face activity logging, predatory new hires, and a dear few minutes to build my intestinal fortitude with a quick bit of play at social media. My coffee, my lunch, my facetime with people who come to my house ... my the stuff I trust and know best. Plus, as I'm inclined to say, gossip and preparation are mutually exclusive.
I think he only looks at it from the perspective of his company and the people in the factories who have no choice but to come in and work while “white collar” workers are demanding for their right to stay home. It’s an interesting point of view but to say it’s morally wrong is strange. But I’m guessing he’s not paying those working in the factories more money.
If you are an investor in Tesla you are an investor in Elon... and that includes his "I don't care..." about selling out to corporate advertisers. So it's not for everyone but I like it. I'm with him.
This comment is either disingenuous or ignorant. He has conceded to investigate advertising. On pricing. Sun Tzu says do what your enemy least wants. Ford with -104% EV margin definitely does not want lower pricing. Neither do the others. Tesla is flexing pricing power, because they can and others can't. This may prevail till the recession is over. Tesla will emerge undisputed leader.
It's not that simple. Trust is like a credit card. Your personal limit is endless. Politicians are a zero. Everyone else is on the grey scale in-between. There are many reasons why Musk rates high on trust. Not least of all because, like it or not, you know what he's thinking and doing. That warrants a good degree of trust.
Jim Cramer, going by his comments about the David faber interview with Elon Musk... is so upset that HE wasn't given that opportunity. You can watch his body language and info he has.
you have your opinion? Why would you want to share it? Would the interviewer say that to a man who thinks he’s a woman and dress up as a woman and is a schoolteacher or in government?
With all of Elon's accomplishments...you guys have to root around about tweets??? His critics are anemic in intellect and productivity by any measure...yes Jim Cramer that includes you.
That was an epic interview - and David didn't get run over like the BBC wanker. But Elon... it has to be a little scary going in to interview with one of the smartest people on earth - with a broad range of knowledge.
Some (members of the EWG = extreme woke gang) here are b*tching about Elon flying on private jet. As a Tesla stock holder and someone who believes in Elon's mission for humanity, not only do I want him to fly private but expect him to do so. Why? Because his safety and time are just too important to be his and his concern alone but his employees, investors and humanity at large.
Elon is correct about the “morality” issue of work from home. Is it moral for a Commanding General to phone in commands from the comforts of home while the soldiers are told to rush the enemy? Of course not…so what is the moral message of management level employees paid on salary, managing from their couch or a Home Depot errand, telling employees in the office what to do…
The focus on the tweeting was a waste…the whole “issue” is a red herring enlarged by the Elon enemies who are being eaten alive by his various ventures.
Hey Buddy…. You have your opinion about Elon …. But why do you feel the need to share your opinion about him but won’t share your opinion about difficult topics???? Reverse it back to you and what do u think now ???
I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever, hoping to retire next year... Investment should always be on any creative man's heart for success in life.
I agree with you and believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don't know who agrees with me but either way I recommend real estate or crypto and stocks.
Yeah!! It would be more beneficial and yield more profit if you actually trade on cryptocurrency, I've been trading since the dip, I've made so much profit trading.
trading is easier with proper guidance, especially from a professional, Newbies who are not aware of how crypto truly works and wish to make profits from it, I would advise to invest with a professional like Fergus waylen, It helps secure and minimize the possibilities of losses.
This is the most interesting, innovating, and productive man in the world…and Farber wants to focus on his tweets…totally stupid. By the way i like how Elon tweets ignoring the woke cancel cultures stupid feelings….unlike how cnbc always dances around reporting cowering to the woke left.
The trademark he built. You need better reason than that. Many disagree. So come on... Let's hear it!!! What are the legitimate reasons for dismissing the person that has led Tesla to being one of the largest global companies by all measures and has lined up multiple s curve technologies to maintain exponential growth. Cummon! Let's hear your enlightened opinion on how you know better than him.
I guess Musk's moral argument around working from home must mean he also believes its imoral for some employees getting to fly business class when others have to fly economy. Wait doesnt musk use a private jet?
Is Morally accedptqble for Musk to be so rich and fly private jet? is it moral CEO saleries have gone up so much , yet other employees don't get any raise despite inflation? his argument about people working from home is nonensense.
As a Tesla stock holder and someone who believes in Elon's mission for humanity, not only do I want him to fly private but expect him to do so. Why? Because his safety and time are just not his and his alone but his employees, investors and humanity at large.
Yes on the first points. If you are an employee you comply with company culture or leave. You are not the company. You just work for it. The company is defined by the person that took the risk of establishing it.
"no one realises..." haha the arrogance of Elon's language when he is making statements is breath taking. What no one but you has figured out the importance of China to the world economy? This is what happens when you deify an individual by constantly referring to them as a genius. They start thinking every word they speak is some how a revelation or prophetic.
LOL…so, if China is a conjoined twin of the global economy, what is the logic of Western leaders threatening China regarding Taiwan without a knowing the destruction of Western economies by doing so. Elon Derangement Syndrome…
Sure, there are people who realize this. It's the fact that few people have forces they can take action with to do something different. That's where his perceived higher standing comes from, that he does have the forces to do so. Trump placed Tarrifs on China, Biden subsidized silicon fabs and wrote an executive order to domesticate government contractors and their resources, Elon started a texas Lithium refinery and pushed for zero carbon energy usage as well as modernizing spaceflight with spacex. These are all things to try to domesticate the economy and move more away from China and Russia. All while China is doing the same thing. We would be a decade behind China in energy and space flight if not for some of these things.
Having a strong opinion is good. Being opinionated is bad. Listen to him relenting on advertising. Having a strong opinion but being prepared to consider other opinions is important and quite rare nowadays. Present company excepted of course!!!!
Goooood. No one asked you to. We are all born to parents. Frankly his father seems a bit of a jerk and not a net positive to his children. Musk did not actually use his father's resources at all. He obtained angel capital for his first business which became Pay Pal. He reinvested his rewards fro pay pal in Space X then Tesla.
