If you listen closely the crossover in the tweeter is set too "low" you are hearing mids and vocals coming out of the tweeters. That is what makes the sound harsh: push the crossover higher and you will lose the 2khz harshness !
KT88 은 소리가 두꺼우면서 탄력적이라 중음과 중고음에서 6550보다 소리가 뚜렷해지는 차이가 납니다. 딱 프로악스피커의 특징과 잘 어울리는 궁합으로 이 스피커를 고른 것은 아주 좋은 초이스입니다 노래 마저 보컬과 중고음이 돋보이는선곡이라 kt88이 돋보이게 할 수 밖에 없는 테스트 이므로, 이 영상은 6550과 kt88의 비교를 하기가 어렵습니다 심지어 kt88은 제조사 별로 퀄리티가 심한편인데, 최고라 하는 골드라이온 진공관의 자랑으로 밖에 보이지 않습니다. 6550은 제조사별로 큰 차이는 나지 않아 , 진공관에 투자하는 비용이 줄어 들고 스피커와 공간튜닝에 좀더 경제적인 분배를 할 수 있습니다. 소리는 상대적인 차이로 음악장르와 청취공간 스피커의 형태와 크기에 따라서 6550이 좋을수도 kt88이 좋을 수도 있습니다. 다만 대략적으로 요약해보자면 kt88은 크든 작든 스피커사이즈를 가리지 않고 울려주는 댐핑이 좋다 할 수 있습니다. 청취공간이 좁더라도 소리를 앞으로 평평하게 당겨옮으로써 시스템차이를 좁혀주는 장점이 있고, 중음과 중고음이 두꺼워지고 탄력적이지만 쏘는 느낌이 강해서 3웨이 이상의 슈퍼트위터를 가진 스피커에서는 소리가 좀 공격적이고 찌르는 느낌 때문에 장시간 시청하기에는 피로감이 느껴집니다. 6550은 특정 주파수에 쏠림 없이 고른 편이고 매우 촉촉한 공기와 부드러운 구름같은 소리의 결이 좋고, 저역이 단단하고 무겁진 않지만 거대한 동굴속에 있는 듯한 울림이 인조적인 현대의 BASS 와 달리 자연스러운 무드를 깔아줘 내가 음악 속으로 들어가게 해줍니다. 다만, 숨겨진 중고음까지 다 듣기 위해서는 볼륨을 타 진공관 대비 많이 높여야 하기에 , 부족한 진공관 출력을 보완해주기 위한 프리앰프 궁합까지 반드시 갖추어야 합니다. 이 영상을 듣고 대체로 kt88이 확연한 차이를 보여주기에 대다수는 kt88이 절대적으로 좋다고 생각하겠지만, 앞서 말한바와 같이 상대적인 차이이며, 영상에서는 보여주지 못한 넓은 공간에 큰 볼륨을 틀 수 있다면, 6550이 훨씬 자연스럽고 고급스러운 소리가 날 것입니다. 작은 스피커. 풀레인지. 2웨이 북셀프 + 좁은 공간 - > kt88 큰 스피커, 풀레인지+하이브리드 2웨이 3웨이. 4웨이 궤짝 스피커 + 넓은 공간 - > 6550(or 소리마스터300B) kt88은 소리가 내귀에 잘 꽂히게 하고, 6550은 내가 음악에 빠지게 합니다.
I like 6550 better than Kt88; it is rounder and more live-like, KT88 in this test is a little recessed, close in; I don't know if it is because of the paring of the equipment or the particular tube is in play here, very hard to judge.

They both sound great. Though the KT 88 are more forward and offer extra resolution, I suspect their is better placement within the soundstage via 6550. Really need to be in the hot seat at the store to tell.

Nice video. I have yaqin mc-100b with stock tubes. Pls advise me for new tubes. I'll probably choose EH KT90 for power tubes. But i con't decide for other tubes. (6sn7 and 12ax7)
