Actually humans and dinosaurs DO COEXIST today. Well, sure we as mammals, have thrived after the extinction of the giant reptile scaly green creatures. But, dinosaurs also evolved to something with something soft and colorful such as feathers : the Birds. So, mammals and birds (the avian-dinosaurs) still live today after the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs, pterosaurs, marine reptile and many more. Also, the T-Rex lived closer in time to Human, than it did to Stegosaurus.
