No... He definitely made a mistake because when u take the probability of A [0.15 + 0.1=0.25] then multiply it by the the probability of B [0.3 + 0.1=0.4] it gives you the probability of A and B which is there in the middle

L have a qn isn't the question 11.21 said what is the probability that the first calculator chosen is not defective meaning D¹...... shouldn't our answer be 35/40 thn

On qn 4.1.1 When finding x : P(A&B) = P(A) × P(B) 0.1 = (0.1+x) × (0.1+0.3) 0.1 = (0.1+x) × 0.4 0.1 = (0.1+x)0.4 0.1/0.4 = (0.1+x)0.4/0.4 0.25 = (0.1+x) 0.25 = 0.1 + x 0.25-0.1 = x 0.15 =x Isn't this the correct calculation Correct me if lm wrong and were

sir , I don't understand why we used that formulae in 11.2.2 and 11.2.3 . Take for instance 11.2.2 , they asking the propability of two calculators chosen , one s defective and the other one is not , which we do have the outcome of that from the 'tree diagram' .i thought e would use the 'intersection formule' .Since on the question we have 'and'' . Please get back to me sir
