Just watched this after having watched one of your older videos from 2 years ago. Your production quality has improved dramatically, plus your end results are still amazing as ever!
You help so much, I have zero access to deep field telescopes let alone a scope to see the moon. Binos arent even an option, and boy. I have been tracking stars, constellations, and gathering mapping information so when I can, I am ready. Until then, you get the 'longing to see' feeling to subside better than any astrology, and astrophotography channel here on RU-vid, thank you for that
I was photographing the Pelican & North America nebulae just this week as well. Great targets for a OSC (ZWO ASI533MC Pro). Looking forward to your processing workflow.
Great image Trevor! I did happen to catch you saying you were going to be taking darks at 4 am. With a cooled camera like that you can take darks whenever you want, just cool it down to the same temperature, saved me so much time at night
Next level production and presentation, love the small personal notes as well, makes you connect more with your audience🙂 And of course a breathtaking image! Well done, Trevor👍
Awesome image Trevor!!! So jealous of the clear sky. I'v had nothing but clouds for two weeks and its not letting up. Itching to try out my new camera. Great video as always!
Oh I love your setup, house location and ability to shoot overnight while sleeping...dream...Cheers...PS: There are very few channels I am subscribed to, but this is definitely one of them.
Amazing image Trevor! You always inspire me to do more astrophotography after watching your vids mate! Luv this channel and it's lovely to see how far you've come from wayyy back in the beginning! You got a great career, a beautiful wife, a beautiful dog, a beautiful home, you're all healthy and happy, life is good for you my friend! Wes, Liverpool, UK.
I took a photo of both the pelican and North America neb a week or so ago at 288mm with my mono. I used the Hubble pallet. When I processed the photo I actually lost my visual differentiation between both. with that photo I now realize they are not 2 different nebulae. It’s one structure with just a dark dust lane in front of it. Hubble pallet and mono is awesome. I’ll never go back to osc. I use 3nm chroma and it was worth every penny.
Just... Wow!! Your images are always amazing and inspiring. I so wish I had the time and ability to do something like this. I'm proud to be one of your backers. Keep inspiring us!
Nice picture. I have that book too. Was actually just looking at it before I watched your video. Every time I look at the book, I always think, Trevor could do a way better job at this. So there you have it. I'll pre-order a copy.
Another great video. As an aside, I am interested in knowing more about your observatory platform. Any chance of doing a video on that? I'm always looking for ways to improve my equipment setup in the backyard.
I hope you are documenting and planning a video on your observatory build. I just signed a contract for a similar setup in my backyard, 12x12 deck, concrete pillar, and buried power and ethernet. Can't wait to have a permanent setup!
Trevor: "Yes, I'm wearing my CUTS hoodie again in this video" Rudy: "I want one too!" Fantastic picture Trevor!!! I guess I can't blame the moon on ruining my pics anymore 😢!!! Also, the production quality of your recent vids are just perfect!!!
The IMX571 with the Esprit 100 is probably the best pair, ever. I personally use the QHY268M (same chip, different body) with the Esprit along with Optolong LRGB and Antlia 3.0nm SHO. I must say it is very easy to use and the FoV is amazing for a lot of the larger nebulae.
I really really like your videos and watch them all as soon as they pop up. Love the household you've got going there as well. If I could change one thing tho it's the music. It seems to be getting louder each time and I find it to be a big contrast to the serene image and the rest of the video. It's a personal thing tho and completely up to you. And apparently I am the only one. Just wanted to give my honest opinion. Clear skies!
BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing this..and how you do it. I’ve been looking through scopes for over 50 years. Never got into photography, but truly respect those who do. Love your work! Best wishes from central Texas. 👍👍👌 🪐
love these videos trevor always been interested in the night sky watching the series so made interested even more hope to purchase a orion xx 12 i dobsonian telescope in october. the images you take are incredible keep up the good work
a suggestion for when you edit videos. you do this slow build up till we see the full image and then once we do, it's gone in a second. let them show a bit longer and a link to static picture would be great as well. I like to study details.
Beautiful image! Why don't you create a dark-library if you got a cooled camera? That was one of the main reasons I got a cooled camera for me. Now I just have to take some flats in the morning and I am done :)
