Nothing wrong with trying out all products! Googans dont just make a good product they make their products easy to understand for the not everyday fisher or novice. That is their niche and market. Great video on a innovative bait that doesn't have much innovation going on. Googans are just trying to help grown the sport! Keep up the great work B-Lat! Hope to see you in Oklahoma someday!

I am usually not the type of person to comment things like this, but I just wanted to clear the air for a lot of people in the comments. Googan did not copy anybody. The first plopper style bait was made in 1928. The patent on that only lasted around 14-20 years. After that expired, it was fair game for anyone to make a plopper style bait. That’s why river2sea made theirs in 2008. Berkeley also followed and then Googan. So nobody is copying anybody here. That is like saying that every single senko was copied after Yamamoto. Or that every car was copied after Ford. In order for an economy to survive, we need different variants and brands of things to appeal to everyone. I don’t know why everyone always attacks Googan. And before you say I’m a big fanboy, I only own one pack of their soft plastics. I don’t own any hardbaits or anything more than one pack of bandito bugs. I enjoy their videos and haven’t gotten around to using their baits much. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I don’t think B Lat wants to see all this negative hate towards Googan when he simply tried making a video for us to see what he thinks about it.

Fishing a bait that long without a bite is very depressing. I found plopper style bait usually work when you are in area where shad are moving.

I take this gentleman's review a lot more serious then other channels. None of them give honest reviews in fear of losing a possible chance of a googan colab video. They r kings of you tube video. With that said in NJ the contender is PURE trash. BUT the REVOLVER gets a 9 out 10. If my prop didn't snap on a lilly pad and the hooks didn't tangle as much it would b a 10 out of 10

I think the sound and thumping blows the WP out of the water, in certain situations, but I also feel the hooks are over size and shaped funny. When you pause it you have to give a good yank to get it going again. Sadly fished all day with the black one, didn't even get blown up

I’ve got the bone color and the chrome and black. My fishing buddy was throwing a bone Wopper Plopper, and I had the Revolver in the same color. The Revolver definitely won that day from the back of the boat. I definitely like the new Googan Clickbait!

Hey B.Lat, just found you recently but I've been going back through your older videos for tips and you seem like a really nice and humble guy. The way you include your son is heartwarming. What was the problem that was solved? When I first got this lure, I was disappointed by the squeak when I flicked it. I thought it sounded cheap. Regardless of whether you like the squeak or not, it goes away when in use because the water acts as a lubricant.

I think the prop in the middle/front will lead to a better hook up ratio instead of the back so the bass will go for the bulk of the bait instead of just the tail end

So by design it looks like it was designed NOT to roll over, or at least not as much. Putting the "plopping" component towards the front and adding fins seems like it makes this style bait more stable in the water. Pretty nifty I believe. Look at it, it does not roll! The plopper (whopper) will roll. Good vibes b.lat.

I'm worried about the hook up ratio. I have seen a few videos from others where the fish where missing the hook by hitting the front of the bait. That is why I'm a fan of the Plopper cause there is hooks in the front and in the rear. Don't have that big bulky prop right in the center.

How is it selling out to review a bait you want to try? In the video he even says its only the 3rd bait of its kind behind the whopper plopper and berkley. And it has a prop in a different spot. Why would he want to test it as a professional fisherman if it helps him?

Being a professional means selling out a lot, that's how you get paid. I believe Scott Martin is also an owner of Googan, that's why he uses them. If someone offers to pay you to use their product and you think it's good enough to compete, you're going take it almost every time. If Scott does well this year using the baits, you can assume they are good. I'm glad I'm too old to know much about the Googans, they must have been as bad as Logan Paul because everyone seems to hate him.

"Moist fart sound!" Hey Googan, maybe you can put that on the box. I'm a big Choppo fan, bought they are now twice the price of the revolver, so I have tried it, and it catches fish as well. There is one drawback that Choppo doest have, the hooks on this will sometime get tied up. I would say it happens on less than 10% of casts, but often enough that I'm going to keep thinking how I can develop work around for it.

It looks like you fish it way faster than I do and although you said how slow it can make the proper fish calling sound, I did not see 1 retrieve that was anything but fast. I wonder if that center hook by the rotating molded noisemaker will interfere in the movement at any speeds?

@@BrianLatimerFishing I measure speed by the speed you were turning the handle. I am well aware that gear ratio, spool width, depth, and the amount of line that one fills the spool all are factors. I use a 9 to 1 wide spool Daiwa Zillion and bring the bait back just fast enough to make the fish calling noise. i have been fishing the whopper plopper bait for several years and have caught a couple dozen fish over 7 pounds with the biggest being 9.75. All caught in central Florida lakes.

I’ve caught my PB largemouth and Pike on the Bone colored revolver. Loved using it at sunset. I recently backlashed and watched it fly 100 yards into a reservoir a few days ago. My replacement just got left on my porch. It’s my go to top water

I have a question that doesn't pertain to the bait you are using. I am lefthanded and I use a right handed crank that way I don't have to switch hands. My question is why do righthanders use a righthand crank and have to change hands?

Personally, I use a right handed crank on spinning and casting. My main casting arm is right handed. I do have so switch hands sometimes like you said but I’m now ambidextrous when I cast so I can cast with both hands. I recommend trying the same. It really pays off for when you’re in tight spaces.

You probably bat and play golf left handed, no? I think that's the key. I'm left handed but hit right and use a left hand reel and right hand reel. It's more comfortable to cast "right", so I only switch hands to use the right handed reel because my right hand is always on the reel like I was holding a bat. Rightys would hold the reel the same and have to switch to reel.

Almost like the whopper plopper. When I used to reel them fast like you are I'd never catch anything. If I reel half that speed so it doesn't make such a loud noise these baits work good where I am. Or if I reel slow then pause a couple seconds and then start reeling again they hammer it

Yeah it's a knock off but- it has a different sound relative to a plopper so I think its worth playing with. The only other difference I could see is that sometimes I get short strikes on my ploppers cause they're hitting at the tail- if they do that with this bait they're gonna get a hook- so the hookup ratio might be better on this one. I would have to fish it and see but, makes sense.

Their baits tear up pretty easy (soft plastics), but the lunker logs are money and the mondo worm has potential. Other than that I have not had success with some of their other friends offerings. Z-man plastics and xzone are my go to's however.
