This video explains in detail the solutions to Problems 1-33 & 1-34 in the Chapter of Stress from the book Mechanics of Materials by R.C. Hibbeler 10th Edition, where in Problem 1-33, the maximum allowable clamping force F is calculated when the maximum average shear stress of 800kPa is acting. However, in Problem 1-34 shear stress is calculated when 900 N force was applied with the clamp.
The solution to Problem 1-33 and 1-34 is available in PDF and can be obtained on request at solved.civil@gmail.com.
