Those are unnecessarily getting offended and thinking it’s against Kerala or something else,first of all I want to tell you Kerala is the God’s paradise which I know well secondly it’s about sharing the experiences of college life as when 17-18 years old student go far from home what are the things he has to face,I know you won’t get North Indian food variety in south but still parents and students are worried about all the challenges & they want to know what are the things for that they need to get ready so don’t take it otherwise unnecessarily it’s regarding how college,food,and other things over there..it’s not the south vs north and don’t wanna to go into that as well

That is the difference between you Hindiwallahs and South Indians. South Indian students go all over India and the world to study and NOT one South Indian student will complain that the food available is different ['I dont get chappati for breakfast, lunch, dinner' like Hindiwallahs do, for example]. A south Indian is a resilient mindset. They are survivors and not whiners and complainers. I saw video of Hindiwallah students in a Medical College in Tamil Nadu protesting about what? They are protesting that the local Tamil population do not understand HINDI and they want the local population to learn Hindi so that the lives of the visiting Hindiwallah students becomes easy! I inititally thought that the video is some prank/joke. But turns out that this was actually a protest by Hindiwallahs. Can you ever imagine a Tamil or Malayali group of students protesting in UP or Bihar demanding that the locals learn Malayalam or Tamil? These Hindiwallahs always complain. But when they go to France or Germany they have no problems with food or language. They quickly pick up the languages there, the moment they see white skin, then the HIndiwallahs know how to behave. No jumping/cutting lines/queues. No throwing garbage anywhere. No complaining.

U need to learn malayalam if u study in kerala. See how nurses working all over India & learn that states language within months. They r very smart & adjust to all the situations.If ur studying or working in other states u have to accustomed to that situation otherwise study in ur own state.If u go to foreign countries for studies u need to learn that countries language.

When you go to study in another state, you try to learn the local language. I am a Keralite, I graduated in nursing from Mumbai, then worked in Saudi Arabia, learned Hindi, English and Arabic and enjoyed my studies and work. I never complained to anyone. You must learn to adjust.

Malayalees pick up Arabic quickly, including non nurses. The brainless Hindiwallahs are good for nothing. except rioting and spitting paan.

But that would not change the statistics published by the Govt of India/Niti Aayog that the least developed states of India are Hindi states: 1. Bihar 2. UP 3. Jharkhand. Other large Hindi states follow these states. The state ranked number 1 in developement is Kerala. Is that my fault that you Hindi people are rated the worst developed? @@akhilmohan3686 i am also mallu. In north india most of the state speaks Hindi. They are not much educated as south people so hindi is the only language they know it is not forcing us to learn but to communicate with them we have to learn else we can move to a different state of we do not wish to learn. In south most of them know Hindi as they had it in second language as it our national language and majority of the state speaks Hindi.

Good informative video !!! Kerala is the only state in India which gives high importance to studies and education. Hence even the basic level of education, understanding, general knowledge and awareness is much more than any other state. So, those who wants to gain good higher education be it medica or any other, Kerala could be the ideal place to study, ofcourse if ready to learn to adjust to little difficulties of language, culture, food etc. Stay and safety for women in Kerala is the best in India.

I am sure that you must have done a research before opting for Kerala. Can a Keralite expect their local food in any North Indian state. Language problem too is Similar. Now that you have opted for Kerala, pls adjust to the situation. Stay focused. Your aim should be to reach your goal. Never criticise any state, language, culture in India.We all are different in our own way. Iam sure the system of education is the best in comparison to any state. @@tindrums because kerala doesn’t have many medical college and seats. Whereas Tamilnadu has most number of medical colleges and seats in India. Obviously the cut off mark will be high. It’s a common sense. Dumb mallu stop praising your under developed state and understand the reality of the growth of other states like a Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, karnataka etc.

In your so-called small crappy clinic the lifeline of the poor like farmers, drivers, labourers, etc before moving to IT for health care. and seen cities bigger than Mumbai in the Middle East and the USA. seen crappy clinics taking care of the poor everywhere. so please sir show some respect to them too.

People need to use their common sense. If you choose other state where language and culture is different its just natural that you would struggle until you learn the language. It goes to everyone. I learnt nursing in mumbai where tutors will speak in Marathi. It was difficult but that doesn't mean the place or collage was bad. Being a malayali I struggled a bit initially but with in months I started picking up language. "Necessity is the mother of invention" Before you choose another state you should know at least they use different language to communicate. So you can choose your own state if dont want the struggle.

I disagree, the questions and answers have been honest and to the point. This topic here is not South Students in North India. And as per my personal experience, South Students are more versatile and adaptable than the other way around.

@@TheGeorgeousn the last point is what he was trying to say.. He just said it in a not so pleasing way... We watch movie in hindi because hindi is taught to us... So we do learn some of it not all of it one thing.. Now u can watch malayalam movie with hindi Or eng subtitles but North Indian generally don't.... I can tell this because I am mallu who grew up in ncr region... Plus they make fun of all South Indian n call them madrasi when they speak hindi with a South Indian touch to their tone... So instead of understanding they mock southern ppl(this happens at a very low level some are not intentional mocking but it is nevertheless n it cab effect the mental state) while I don't think South ppl mock northern ppl as much as they do.. Obviously some jokes will. Be cacked at your expenses but majority hindi speaking folks come after a certain age(most cases for college education only) so both parties are understanding n doesn't cross the line... Because of age maturity n hindi folks have hard time the language as they have never watched South movies in that local language n some inflection of words r quite difficult for them. To say.. The way the tongue twists to enunciate the words becomes really hard for hindi speaking folks... While its a cake walk for South Indians as compared to. North Indians

According to 3 language formula of GoI , you should learn any of the regional languages. In your case when you choose to go to Kerala, learn malayalam.

It's a good review and she said it things in all honesty. No place is like home and she indeed could be experiencing a cultural shock. Kerala is very different to NI and she will take a little time acclimatising to it. What finally matters is what she feels at the end of her course and that will round up her testimonial. From what she told, the academics are good and so is the safety, as a girl. This should be the main factors, for making the choice. Finally every bird has to fly out of its nest, however good and comfortable it is and there will be initial hiccups as with everything else, before you fly high.

Though people in Kerala don't usually celebrate holi or Diwali, what I've noticed is that it's actually celebrated in colleges a lot. Most medical colleges will celebrate, close to ALMOST every festival and obviously they give a bit more importance to Kerala festival and it's celebrated more lavishly. But then again it's expected. So in conclusion,i don't think you have to worry about not celebrating holi or Diwali when you're in medical College, though it might not be as grand as your native land.

Colleges in a state is built for people from their state. If you have compulsion to join their college they do not have any condition to alter their way to please you, it is your responsibility to make yourself prepared to survive there. A person from South will face same issue if they do not know hindi and join college in hindi belt region. Hindi people do not live there to please people who does not speak hindi. Rather than complaining about other state people for not learning hindi to make you feel comfortable better ask hour respective state government to improve the infrastructure to accomadate your students who cheat in exams and score 101/100.

Friends,Assisiya Medical College is in a village in Kerala,not in any city...so you will have to face all issues(as you say "problems") with respect to language,food,climate etc...forget about your festivals..concentrate on your studies...but at the end of your course you will surely change your current thoughts.... good luck...😮

Kerala produce very high quality doctors compared to all doctors.. learning new language is best option to survive after completing the medicine..you can treat any patients from Indin state while talking and understanding, having empathy..! You are writing too much sense for most Hindi region people to appreciate. You make valid points. 5 year study is like Tapasya. Focus should be studies. Not 'will i get momos to eat'? or 'Will I get to eat butta on road side?' or 'Will I get to eat my favorite Banarsi paan in the evening'? or 'Will shopkeeper and servant speak in fluent PUnjabi or Gujarati or Hindi, with me'? My friend why do you want to bring all this Hindiyans and settled down in Kerala we already have too many Hindiyans in Kerala from Bengal, Assam, bihar, U.P, North East even from Nepal as well. Moreover from almost the last 15 to 20 years they are implementing hindi and Bengali over Malayalam and English. There are plus and minus in every college. Here is what I learnt from my experience. In the long run, it does NOT matter which college you graduated from. Your hard work and sincerity at work is what will take you far. Unless the college is so bad that it is a fake college, then dont join. If you have multiple offers take the college which is rated very high, if there is a BIG difference between the colleges. If not, it is clearly all the saem. So if you get a college near home, go for it. If you have language problem you FEAR, then go for the college that is your language speaking. Else go join any and work hard and find happiness where ever you go.

Yes because your patients will be speaking local language. So you will have to pick up local language. Which is not difficult if you put effort and pick up books or language learing website online. South is among the best regions to do study as the quality of education is good. Kerala is very good because you have very dedicated staff and teacher. REst of south too. you can see it in the quality of nurses you see around India and the world. Kerlaa nurses are in big demand in the US, Canada, Dubai, Europe, Australia and NZ. Many of them are given Green Card very quickly. And salary is super high for nurses in US and many other nations. Why because these nurses got v good training in their colleges in Keralal. Same with Kerala doctors. I saw a TV program of an Australian young man visiting India and who burst a cracker from his hand and lost his fingers. He was rushed to a hospital in Kerala and the doctor did a miracle and got his hand restored the best imaginable. The man went back to Australia for follow up treatment and the doctors there told him that whoever treated/operated on him had done a fantastic job. This man came back to India for further follow up treatment with that same Malayali doctor. He was so emotional on seeing his doctors and nurses he almost cried tears of happiness. That Australian was totally impressed with the professionalism of Kerala doctors and nurses.
