#PaulCopper- My plan is to run on 6s but Since I cant find a Leo 4076 - 1650kv MOTOR, canI go with a Leopard 4076 1800kv OR A 2000KV / 2200KV? Also, down the road I am installing a Seaking 180 ESC ? Let me know your thoughts and concerns and here is my build log I have started, please feel free to comment since you have done these upgrades? Hi..bolt your 4082 motor onto the stock black plastic mount with the motor cable connector fitted and then try lay it flat ,it will not fit flat until you dremmel the rear motor mount, the round plastic seat has to be ground down to fit the rear of the motor..you'll need to be perfect or over grind it by .05mm,The motor mount has to be perfectly flat when you bolt it down other wise you will get the wrong angle and chew out your brass tube teflon liner and get lots of heat
@@ntxmxraw6648 I didn't know that..im using flycolor 150A ESC now,I use a capbank from Swordfish 300A ESC from Offshoreelectrics.I found the esc is half the price of Seaking 180A and I've torchure tested the 150A ESC and excellent
@@ntxmxraw6648 I really don't know..my friend has a stock Sonicwake and it handled terrible so he gave it to me and I fitted a new flex cable 4.76mm from AliExpress as the stock one slipped ..I changed the prop to a 42mm 1.4p CNC from AliExpress Tilkiea store and bent the trim tabs down a bit and his boat is fast pickup and temps are all good.and the handling is decent no probs from the stock ESC ...the Sonicwake flex cable slips
Boat looks off the chain! What kind of speed are you getting on 8s ? I have the same boat! I am looking to put in a Hobbywing SeaKing 180A-V3 RTR Brushless Marine ESC Waterproof Speed Control and for the motor I am looking at the Leopard 3674 X2 4-Pole Brushless Motor 1900KV! What are your thoughts and concerns about this upgrade instead of the Leopard 4082?
Hi😊..I didn't GPS it but it was really powerful and ultra quick acceleration..my advice as I've already done it fit the leopard hobby 4082 1600kv ,all the 3674 motors are too small,I do have another 2 vids showing the leopard 4082 it didn't get hot like the 3674 motors
wow ,the esc so big you had to mount the lipos on top of it eh? thats an expensive esc . kinda regretting buying a seaking 180 now that i have one .the v3`s arent great. you run this monster yet?had mine out the other day. ran pretty good with these heavy cnhl lipos in it .
yes haha I did have to mount the lipos on top...to be honest the boat handled better and had more power than the vid I have of the Sonicwake with 180A Seaking leopard 4082 1600kv 6s..the 8s setup was too heavy .I delete lots of vids, some one gives me thumbs down almost immediately after I put a vid up it's not nice. The esc that perform s better than a Seaking 180A is a stock flycolor 150A with Swordfish 300A ESC cap banks fitted..I'm running 6s on that in my Vector and it's amazing
@@paulcooper7162 i had a flycolor 150 in this pursuit for about a year .then it burned up . so i figure i try a seaking 180 since people love them so much . i actually had my best top speed running the flycolor 150 . i have not broke 60 yet with the seaking 180 .with flycolor my best was 63 same setup .it could be cold lipo syndrome. my top speed runs were in the warmer months . that zeal 300 must have set you back quite a bit . i think the 200 would have been enough for you . you run 8s yet?
@@fnkycoldmedina Hey yes must be the lipo temp.. I'm going to use 150A flycolor s on my Zonda and try get a decent top speed,I got panther lipo s and some ABC props on the way..the panthers are really good.. The ztw seal,k got that when they were cheap I see they have gone up alot in price..I did run the Sonicwake on 8s with the leopard 4082 1600kv was insane but the motor got hot and melted the connector and cogged,I used 53mm prop..to be honest I had a aquamarine 240A ESC and that ran cool on 8s so I'm not impressed with both ztw ESCs,200A didn't perform on 6s well where as the flycolor is exceptional but I do have big cap banks added
@@fnkycoldmedina That's good..I only purchased the hull without the motor etc so I used my own gear,I now wish I had purchased the boat complete,a Sonicwake here in New Zealand is $949 including freight .A new miss Geico zelos is $1550 including freight
@@paulcooper7162 thats ok you did the right thing . proboat stock motors always run hot on 6s anyway .they always advertise 6s but use a 2000kv motor which should be 4s territory .1600 kv is better suited for 6s .my pursuit has a leopard 4082 1600 and goes 60+ with a x447 prop .
