I feel like higher voltage keeps the amps lower & less heat created (as long as the props not too big) my Dom ran better on 8s than it does on 6s.

You listed 3s batteries in the description Is that just a misprint? I’ve got a xlx2 in my sonic wake with the stock motor and was wondering if the stock motor can handle 8s or if I need to figure out how to get a castle motor in there, and gotta say you have the best rc boat content out there man!

I have the sonic wake v2 as well completely stock but I'm running 4519 on 6s and there is no heating issues or power cuts whatsoever. I thought I heard wrong when you said 640 on 8s . My son also has the exact stock setup and running 4519, no problems. Did you have the smaller motor in the boat in the video?

I'm looking for a new ESC for my SWV2 and I'm curious if the Firma 160 and the 4519 prop are are a good match, I'll mostly run 6s. Stock motor , for now.

@@IRONCLADRC . I appreciate the reply. I've been up in the air about using the Flycolor 150 / Seaking 180 or the Firma 160 for my SWV2. I melted the connectors and caps on the OEM ESC, figured it was time to step up.

Does the more added weight with the 8s set up affect the self rightning feature ?

Yes, I had some issues here and there with self-righting, if you mount the esc center where the reciever box is it will self-right every time.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to boats but I have a sonic wake v2 as well and I think it has cavitation how would I fix that?

Prop change will solve the cavitation. I recommend the oxidean 4519 2 blade prop for all around running and bashing. Proboat 17x16 is a "Speedrun" prop fast but gets the electronics hot if you do back to back runs.
