No respirators (as was pointed out), and also no gloves when handling the material. No alignment to speak of (although I don't know how important precision would be for this application).

I play hockey. And believe me no glue can withstand the force that piece of plastic needs to handle. It does need support of 1 or 2 nails to stop it from twisting.
