3:30 I was getting worried that we wouldn't see parts just being dumped onto the floor, rather than into buckets. Good to see that this factory is following the usual methods of inefficiency by not having a simple BUCKET under the machine.

Wow and this is what Western workers have to compete against whilst Western companies outsource all the work to far eastern companies, turning a blind eye to how its made, the conditions and the pay, all in the name of more profit. And the ultimate irony its all then sold back to Western consumers. You would have found better guarding on Victorian machinery, how many people have recieved life changing injurys in this little workshop, not to mention chronic illness from fumes and chemical exposure. And the environmental impact of chemicals going down the drain etc. Absolutetly shocking

This is what drives me mad, we have lost so many jobs not just on cost but mainly environmental grounds, but the products end up still getting made off shore with an even high environmental cost and we have lost the work.

I finally figure out why they don’t wear any shoes in this factory. If you wear flip flops all the time you can get free acid bath on your feet. At the end of your shift, you get discounted foot prosthesis and one alligator clip.

The risk of electrocution on those wet acid drenched floors must be high. I doubt that many of those motors have earth wires on them. Poor kid doing all the rinsing and polishing and heavy lifting in and out those hexagonal washing machines machines.

an Osha inspector would scream bloody murder if these working conditions were in a USA factory. no guards on the machines, workers in sandals, no protective gear, etc. But, these guys work hard w/o complaint. They are glad to have these jobs. Underage workers i noticed. Child labor not happening here in the USA.

They are using reclaimed metal from some source so they have to strip the existing plating, then degrease and acid etch to prepare the surface then plating and wash afterward. The spring looks like toxic cadmium plate (yellow color), hopefully it's actually chromate.

@@WaifuSilverWolf Google translate is great. Yes, the scrap metal they are using at the beginning looks like panels off the backs of refrigerators or something. I don't think cadmium is harmful to the end user unless it's welded etc.- we had some fasteners for aerospace that were cadmium plated (required, no choice)- I don't recall any special handling. The plating chemicals accumulate in humans and are carcinogenic though.
