It's now very likely that money remmitted into Thailand will be subject to taxation if you intend to reside in Thailand for 180 days or more. What I think this will mean for many property buyers is that you will need to leave your new property vacant for 6 months to avoid paying tax on the money remitted into Thailand to purchase the property. So you will need to speak to an accountant to understand how to minimize such taxation.
