Very very useful video. My concept became fully clear after watching this video. But i think if there was like minimum sound (voice or music) It'd be better. But Thankyou so much for the video.
A layer of a shore 95 putty over the facial, from the Incisaledge to the stone, completely eliminates the need for separator (except on the palate) , the possibility of bubbles and stone sticking to the acrylic.
I have a question. If a person is good with their hands and with tools...Can that person make a durable denture using one of those Denture fabrication kits?
you can make a denture any way you want'' now a functional denture,, thats intirelly different animal,,some of those cheap materials will leave chemical burns in your mouth,, and have a tentacies of warpage hence sore spots'' and denture will not stay in mouth'' use good quality materials and long cure,s and cooling down process,, for maximin and better fit''
It's important to use surfactant on the denture teeth during flasking, and then smearing the gold dental stone into the grooves and junctions of the teeth as to not leave voids in the flask. I also like to use White stone in the first and last portion of the flask; to give contrast to the gold stone surrounding the denture and facilitate in deflasking
I won't tear this video apart too much, but how long would this process take, from invest/boil out/pack? My standard would be about 20 minutes total. Also, on the second layer of flasking, only the occlusal surface should be exposed from the plaster/stone to help protect the teeth, with a gradual slope to the top of the second layer of the flask, and consider using a break out press to properly remove the invested denture from the flask, much safer than hacking away at the stone with a knife and hammer (cringe).
I just brought a dental flask and press like this but the inside of flasks are rough not smooth like the outside of flask, so I am worried it's not gonna work so well as the stone will stick to the rough surface.......am I worrying unnecessarily!?!
@@dr.deepanshuchakraborty sir I did a mistake , after dewaxing I opened the flask , then I found that plaster of paris is not set . What should I do now sir 😭😭😭
i did this for 35 years at a add office, way faster then this, wheres the plasternippers?, also he packed it way too soft..looked like lucitone 199, got to pack hard..
That would be due to the impression or when fitting denture your trimming to much off the denture it’s self, for a tip try duplicating master model before finish then fit back to model 👍
Will someone help me? None of the prosthodontist will reveal whether or not there are different size molds for different size mouths? A small person with a small mouth compared to a larger mouth person like me! My dentures are at least a half inch too narrow for my mouth and I can’t get him to make another set to fit the width of my mouth. Did he screw up or is he limited to how big he can make them???
@@zokikostadinov3303 Then why is it that when I asked why they are giving me dentures that are at least one half inch too narrow for my mouth they won’t give me an answer? I’m always biting my tongue! The top shifts 1/2”+ to one side! The inside back of the bottoms are catching the underside of my tongue, but it’s only when I talk and eat?? I know this isn’t funny but it’s not a big deal to the VA!
I know this was three years ago, hoping someone still checks this. My question is why so careful to clean it off, just to dump it full? I don’t get it.
@@donnawilliams5421 on occlusal surfaces on the teeth?..he was removing separator...btw i use completely different way...after model is in one part of flask i use matrix silicone thin layer all around teeth buccal dow over wax too and palatal only around teeth occlusal stays clean..then i pour counter stone in 1 go..after processing there's almost no cleaning
When doing the packing process, we do not wish that after processing the denture has the investing material adhered to the surface, and for this purpose a separating medium is used. Various media can be used of which the most popular is Sodium alginate

@@KaneLono nop u are wrong ..this classical method with a slight modifications produces best quality acrylic ..all other self curing vertex, 2 stage curing and such bs they "age" super fast .. my modification on it is i just add to vestibular silicone so i dont have any plaster/stone stuck in between teeth .. with my acrylic process is just 35 minutes on 100C(but thats material not technique. technique is same/similar)
The roof of denture makes your gum to secret a salty sticky solution just like an inflammatory response to a foreign body. Dentures are not real teeth, they are made up of acrylic substances. As a result , no matter how many times a day you clean it with water, it will start to make a foul smell in your mouth - very bad smell. People thinks that it is because of the bacteria and food particles accumulated in it, but that is not entirely TRUE whereas the substance used to make the roof of your gum is a foreign body that get in contact with sensible part of your gum, causing inflammatory response. Furthermore, the interaction with saliva, food particles and the pathogens make it very worse. So dentures should not be recommended to anyone as it is a reservoir for pathogens to multiply in your mouth and make you ill and damage your gum further. The pathogens can travel from your mouth to your lungs and make it even more worse. You will find yourself vulnerable with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, after a period of wearing dentures. That is why most people who own denture are not happy with it and we need to find out a better solution to protect our elderly people as well the one who lose teeth for different reasons. Implant is also not a good remedy as it can ruin your health and make you ill.
Ivoclar ivobase has no bubbles, not even microbubbles in it ... does not collect odors nor stain, unlike most dentures. The fewer the microbubbles the less of that problem you'll have.
@@mohammedrayyan9194 you don't even have the proper tools to make a video people think you are professional. You need plaster cutting pliers... Your deflusking process you lucky didn't break the denture and the video cut short. Show the selective grinding lateral movement adjustments.
I tried using this technique but every now and then i was getting pink teeth and sometimes bubbles in the acrylic. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid this problem? Thanks!
Pink teeth? Like the teeth shifted in the boil out and weren't secured prior to packing? If so you should do a cursory check to make sure all teeth are secured and if not a small dab of super glue on the cusps to hold it in place. In my experience this happened usually from wax residue on the teeth or the tooth had to be ground so low to fit the patient's bite. Bubbles in the acrylic like air pockets or porosity from improperly mixed acrylic?
@@deadweight2049 I would get a very thin acrylic film around the teeth. And yes but these bubbles would be huge, the denture would look like Swiss cheese.
Make sure there is no wax on the surface of the denture teeth, prior to investing. Use a robinson brush, in a handpiece to clean the teeth surfaces of wax and wipe them with wax remover. This is the only way to be certain they are clean, otherwise you get pink acrylic on them.
I really like your way of working... it's very neat, clean and understanding also.... thank you so muchhh for making practical works so easy to us....😊😊👩⚕️👩⚕️
