What a darling and perfect little book of water colors, easily could be post cards or note for people to buy. Awe, do not stop at all, your going to be more confident if you just keep doing it and try to see it through the eyes of your grandchildren, the more you become, the more they become, they too grow through your explorations of your talents. I think it is beautiful!! you are a wonderful artist, I have several of your books that so inspired me to finish my crazy quilt, that was completed after 9 years of teaching myself new stitches. All in satin's and a few velvet's. Please keep at it and show us more as you go along.
I agree- watercolor is very difficult, but so much fun to dabble in! My grandkids call me Lala- the other grandmother has my same name, so Lala seemed appropriate! Lol
I finally got my beautiful book! Stopped everything right away and sat down to enjoy it! It is a gorgeous book! I can’t wait to get started trying some of the stitches. Love how you have put the abc pages with instruction what goes first and what follows adding steps. Brilliant way of instruction! Thank you for your beautiful embroidery work, you are amazing! 🥰❤️👏🧑🎨
What a glorious garden to sit and stitch in! Thank you for sharing some items of your work. Sitting here watching with a mixture of excitement and frustration that my copy of your new book hasn't arrived yet.
Just received your new book-FREEMORM EMBROIDERY- IT'S STUNNING. By far the best embroidery book I own and I have many. It is organized very well and the stitches are awesome. I think this is great for beginners-stiches very well pictured and explained and also for experienced stitchers looking for new ideas. So glad I got it!!
Thank you, Mary. The gardens grow very easily in the Queensland climate - my husband is the gardener. Thanks for the kind words regarding my attempts watercolor 🤣🤣 🐦⬛🪡🐦⬛🐦⬛🪡🐦⬛🐦⬛
Oh how I love all those “works in progress “ !!! We all have them, yours are just gorgeous!!! 🤩 I took up watercolor painting 3 years ago, like you said, the key is practice. I think you are doing very well ! I enjoy your chats !! ☺️
It’s here finally !! And it’s luscious 😂!! It’s so easy to see and inspirational 🎉!!Ty for creating it !! I love seeing all the beautiful things you do .. I’m drawn especially to the wool pieces! Although it’s all gorgeous! I love a rainy day and we are sure needing some now in Virginia, USA. As a kid I always enjoyed coloring and several years ago I purchased an adult coloring book and since have purchased colored pencils, water colors etc and RU-vid has a huge coloring community… there are coloring books where you get instructions and practice with water color .. thought you might enjoy ! Thanks for sharing you talents with us, Chick 🐥!! Hugs from a Peep😂❤!
Loved seeing where you live and all the beautiful things in your garden. I think your watercolor sketchbook is awesome. I am also trying to learn watercolors and wished mine was as good as yours. Loved all the stitch pieces you shared. You are so very talented. Thanks for sharing with us. Happy Week!! Hugs 💕☀️🧵🌸🦋🐝🎨💕
Thank you for the lovely view of your garden and stitching area. I loved seeing it as I often wonder what it looks like from your view while stitching. Congratulations on your stunning book and I will be ordering it soon. I’m teaching a class on embellishing and embroidery on quilts at our local show and will have your book as well as Sue Spargo’s book to show for inspiration and technique.( Also, I realized that I am so exhausted that when I read your video title my brain did NOT register UFOs as stitching UFOs but as 👽- head slap).
Hi Jenifer, I finally got my hard copy of the book and it’s more beautiful than kindle. Love your garden and all your unfinished projects, I have watched this video about six times trying to take a photo of your embroidery. Watercolor looks great. Look forward to your next video
Thank you Jennifer for your video and sharing some of your projects. I think most of us procrastinate at times,I know I do. I say I am working on my Phd (project half done)😂 Your grandson is correct, your watercolour painting is good. I paint landscapes and I wish I could paint botanicals and as for portraits, well let's not go there. My only advice is practice, as you stitch every day ,you should paint regularly , it will come. You have the advantage of being able to paint with thread and understand the complexity of colour and that is more than half the battle won. Have faith in yourself.
Another joyful video. I watch them on my big TV, it is so good to see the stitching. What a joy seeing your garden in this video. 8C here in the Bay of Plenty NZ early in the morning but very sunny days so loving winter so far. 😊
I am LOVING the new book! I’ve read it cover-to-cover several times! So inspirational! Your watercolor sketches look pretty good to me. Aren’t grandchildren great? So good for the ego. Mine call me Nonny. It’s from Shakespear’s “Much Ado About Nothing”. I love the movie and was singing the tune (Hey Nonny, Nonny) and it just stuck.
If I could draw/watercolour like you, I’d be really chuffed with myself. 😄 It’s all relative, I suppose. Still (im)patiently waiting for my book here in the UK, so thanks for this video which has given me my Jennifer fix for today!
I pre ordered my book on Amazon and had a message to say August is when it should arrive now. I’m sure it will arrive sooner but I’m in the UK. So excited!
Oh I love love love your garden. It is so lush and green. It's fun to see the things you are working on. I have always wanted to do watercolor. I took classes and practiced for 10 years and I still dont like my work 😂 your watercolor is lovely
Ordered my book expect to receive in september. But have seen demonstration by Corrine. Will be very excited to receive it. Counting down the days your stitching guidance in the mean time is greatly appreciated.
I was procrastinating because of overloading myself with projects. That meditation book called 30 Days to Overcome Procrastination by Corin Devaso helped me slow down.
Haha - I was procrastinating because I had to do something that I didn’t want to do!🤣🤣🤣I do long all my projects - but I will look into the book for my daughter! Thanks 🪡🐦⬛🪡🐦⬛
My copy of your book arrived yesterday and I love it…….congratulations Jennifer!! I am going to make a fabric book and start experimenting and creating (try to anyway) my own Freeform stitching. I have to finish another project first though, I have four pages to go.
Luv your bees ❤I too struggle with watercolour yours are wonderful might I suggest Louise Demasi is an Australian watercolour artist her videos help me and she does amazing Aussie birds 💕
I love your water colors they are awesome ..don't worry about your photo; I adorned large bill boards around the country at one time , and I assure you I have aged considerably. Lol
@jenniferclouston7545 advertising the bank I worked for ..hilarious seeing myself 8meters x 4 meters but a while back now ..but think Jenny your book is all over the world how incredible is that
Nice to spend some time with you while you procrastinate, nice drop of rain will freshen up the garden and I’m sure the birds would also enjoy the rain . Good to see lots of work in progress. Keep up with your watercolours as indeed it is lovely to watch how the paints bleed and blend . Your new book arrived late today and I must say it’s beautiful and can’t wait to follow along with the journey with you through the book . Congratulations again on such a gorgeous book and sharing your talents with all of us . ❤
Oh you'll get better with your watercolor, it takes time and practice. Even now after years of painting I paint awful on some days. Ok any way happy stitching😊.
Someone said you can push yourself, if you're not where you want to be, but you're not meant to say unkind things to yourself. Those are two different things, thank goodness.
