There was a young bowler by the name of Spencer Robarge who started off throwing like Kaenen and a KCO alumni. He's currently one of the best, if not the best, non-PBA bowler out there.

Yes, indeed. One of these days I keep hoping he'll show up to bowl as an adult in one of the Adult/Youth Doubles tournaments at the KCO.

Producing this show has always been a labor of love. But every now and then, an episode of the show comes along that really does stand out as one I'll always remember, and this certainly was one. Oh, and I learned at league this past Saturday that young Kaenen does not take kindly to being called "Little Guy" as I did several times on the show. LOL! (I won't make that mistake again. Hahahahaha!) I look forward to seeing him (and you) in Gladstone on the 6th as he goes for back-to-back titles.

Two blocks of qualifying plus waiting through a stepladder. That's a lot of patience and focus for a 6 year old.

Indeed it is! But I'll tell you, he took it all in stride! We were nervous wrecks behind him of course, but he stayed cool as a cucumber!

I gather that he could stay engaged and alert if it was a 42-game qualifier. It’s what he lives for.

Hey Randy, Do you know what pattern they use as the house shot at Olathe Lanes East?
@ProdigyBowlersTour
@ProdigyBowlersTour 2 дня назад
I really don't. I asked once about it, and the best answer I could get was that it was kind of a home-grown recipe. Not aa known pattern, like Stone Street, the Kegel pattern that was used at Bowlero Roswell where PRODIGY originated for its first several years.
@shanejones8884
@shanejones8884 2 дня назад
@@ProdigyBowlersTour From watching the KCO it seems to me especially by the time you’re taping the stepladders that there’s a lot of carry down especially after the 45’ mark.
@ProdigyBowlersTour
@ProdigyBowlersTour День назад
@@shanejones8884 -- Depends on where we are. As you know, the KCO moves around to different bowling centers in the area. You'll definitely notice some carry-down at some centers, while others seen to just dry out. What I do know is that at most of the tournaments, they only oil once before A Squad goes off in the morning, and that's it. At the KCO Invitational in June, they do run the lanes before the stepladder finals. And last year they started oiling between the morning and afternoon squads of qualifying, but only at the Adult/Youth Doubles tournaments. They did so because they shortened the qualifying round from 5 games to 4, giving them time to re-oil in between morning and afternoon.

Does Kaenen have holes in his ball? What's amazing is that he gets consistent revs and rotation from a very consistent release.

He does use 3 fingers! He used to only use 2, but this year he added the thumb!
