RIP Keith, and every other human being that feels that they cannot continue going on in this world. I wish we, as a society, in the year 2019, were able to do so much better for our brothers and sisters who are tortured by such inner demons that they don't feel like they can continue to keep going on. We MUST do more than what we are doing. Our brothers and sisters should not feel like they are without any other option than to end their own lives. Reach out to your family, friends, and colleagues, and do everything you can to point them in the direction of the resources that are available to them. This isn't to make anyone feel bad for what they might have or should have done, but to bring awareness to what might have been overlooked previously. Call your elected officials, donate to your local mental health organizations, reach out to those close to you who might be in need...
Someone gave me a cassette tape of this back in 2000, said they didn't want it any morr. Came as my second Prodigy album after Jilted Generation. The Prodigy, Metal music, WWF and cartoon network were all the rage back then, helped me get through a lot of bs during those dull and miserable school days growing up. God bless these dudes for making such a positive impact.
Thank you Keith, I watched you dance in outta space at 13 and spent hours learning. I finally cracked it and got the attention of many girls at school!! Thank you for the memories rip
I was 16 when Prodigy's first album came. Seen them live here in Stockholm, Sweden grown up with them. Liam Howlett was the reason a started play on Ravepartys here "different" music... The Prodigy has made a big impact in my life, even helpt me when I,v been sad just listen to them! One Love ❤🙏
The piano is absolutely immense, remember dancing at the side of the road to this after leaving the gallery in Leeds, halfway home, dance stop off, such a sad loss to a totally unique generation of people
I was a hxc kid in NJ and a friend introduced me to The Prodigy, etc as we both hosted shows/DJs at the same venue in NJ. I fell in love with electronic music and never looked back!
This will always hold such a special place in my heart.... I can't even explain.. R.I.P Keith. You and your fellow band members...got me through so much. I still grieve you and the old times.. hehe.. what ever that means 😅😅
i listened to Prodigy back in the Lovely and MaGiCaL 90s when Life and Music made Sense.. wish i could share those memory's reality surpasses poetry... Literally if you understand what this music meant to me back then and what a accomplished by listen to The Prodigy! And One Love Michaela "Mia"
Loving this. Music I grew up on, fantastic times. So sat in my kitchen now in 2021 playing it full on, neighbours shouting turn it up! Live in a good neighbourhood.
I didn't know that many tracks from the Experience album in 1996 when I bought my first Prodigy cassette. I was surprised how different the album was. Back then they had only 2 albums and additional 2 singled (Firestarter, Breathe) that hinted at new Prodigy album. Magical time and the peak of Liam's creativity in my opinion.
I remember dropping a micro dot round my mates house bunk ing off school with his older brother only 12 at the time he had a set of technics n i remember coming up it felt like my head had floated up into the sky and I was flying round the street and walking around are school (yet never left my mates house until could move a bit) then it was off down the train tracks smoking pot ..... Those were the days before I ever touched heroin and little Timmy, Johnny, Mad Max and the rest of the groovy gang disappeared into the matrix who would of known Carly the local village bicycle would of gone on to become a lawyer ??? Strange life. Rest In Peace Keith
All I can say mate, is sounds like we had a similar journey in life!!! Was a raver and wreck head in the 90s b4 the nasty came into play and took all the fun outta life, but that's all behind me now And I find myself missing those early rave days even more
Thankyou for this epic story, as someone who was born in 2002, literally at the end of this awesome era, it's incredible to hear these sort of tales.. I missed out on a good era but doesn't mean I can't re live it myself Haha, obviously the drugs aren't as good these days though, keep on keepin' on and once again , thankyou for the little glimpse back in time. it must have been wild back then! with all the rubbish music being produced out the arse of these wannabe producers and MC's, yo guys are the real ones for keeping this alive, peace people , respect from Australia: ) and keep on listening prodigy !! R.i.p Keith Flint.
Yep , I reckon we lived the same, dropping trips , smoking pot, graffing then the ugly beast reared it’s head and I was barred by my rave mates till half got on the gear themselves. Wish I could go back...., best days of my life. 😎👟🎹🔊🎼✌🏼🖤💙💚
I will admit I fell in love with Your Love Remix before hearing the single as a b side on charly which I had to order in the 90s to the ONE record store near my hick town and no one knew anything about the prodigy. they all listened to country or greenday. BUT THEN I HEARD YOUR LOVE. OH GOD WHICH SONG IS BETTER?????
These guys have 5 unique albums and each of them has its own magic. I admit I like all 5 and I'm sure their 6th that is up to come will be Legend...wait for it...ary as well !
Experience is one of the all time greats , in my opinion they did slightly top it with Music For The Jilted Generation which i think was well before its time. Everything else they`ve done doesn't even come close , but as someone else said fair play to em for reinventing themselves.
