One of the most underrated tracks in rap. Didn’t get nearly as much shine as it should’ve back then. A freakin classic. Nothing like it before or after. RIP P HNIC 4 Real 💯
I thought the same lol I was like did he just say a tv? The next few times I listened to the track I would pay more attention thinking maybe he said something else lol
Hood legend: This song was a subliminal diss to Jay Z. Prodigy was suppose to say “I throw a tv at you Jay Z/ Bitches say P you crazy” but he messed up the bar because he was going in without pausing… Because of this song, this made Jay Z throw Mobb Deep name in his Summer Jam freestyle which later lead to Takeover and his beef with Nas You can tell Prodigy is talking to someone on this song
One of the best songs ever. Alchemist killed this beat that breakdown was too crazy! And Prodigy at this time was unreal. His flow was like it was just too easy. I can only imagine how he lost his mind when alchemist played this for him . Couldn't grab the pad fast enough lol RIP P.
This track has one of best opening lines of any song, it has no chorus, the hook (if you want to call it that) is a single simple phrase. The beat is an absolute banger and P just bodies it for 3 minutes.
I agree this was 100% underrated. I was in my teens when this dropped, bought it as a single at the Patrick’s mixtapes in my hood back when rap was REAL RAP, straight bars and poetic.
Looks like a ferris wheel in the back and the colors look like the carnival lights. Quick glance and your in the carnival. But realistically what would mobb deep be doing in a carnival. Basically letting that man know that it's other humans out here that see shit on a humble.
@@mauricehawkins1147 he went hard as fuck to me, cuz at this point he kinda fell off this ain’t 95-96 prodigy. He went as hard as he possibly could imo
