Prodigy is an honest guy, with a good heart.. I wish him the best! God Bless! I cant wait till his new album drop.. and kids, remember this.. YOU do NOT want to be locked up,ever.
I know a lotta people were disappointed in that story lol. But truth is, prison is about etiquette, you can survive there without any problems if you hold your head and carry yourself with dignity and respect. The hardest place in the world is the cemetary.
I'm from DC. I went to NYC, in 1995, to get a record deal. I ended up w/a 9 to 18 prison record. Smh. What Prodigy explained, I have been through. #RGM
Japreme Eloheem Shoutout to the Chocolate City my dude, hold ya head and don't let the penitentiary define you. My cousin doing 70 years for some BS and all I can do is hope the next brother stays on the straight n narrow. Do your time, come home, and get your money.
idk he's one of the greatest who ever made n reached my heart. heavenly Father blessed all those who suffered n da process. But u no the say if u cnt stand the heat, dnt play with fire. I'm glad he's here. I'll always love them all
genius of vlad to put these long interviews out piece by piece and in short clips... he knows what ppl like online; makes me watch them.. lol real smart
They put guys like this in PC. Even though he's from New York and kept talking about his Queens N*****s being all around you can guarantee someone would have ate his food if they didn't protect him. Someone would have stuck him just for the stripes or the privilege of saying "I'm the one who put holes in Prodigy of Mobb Deep". Some guys in the joint got nothin to live for and are serving life. No matter who you are or how famous you can become food in prison just like the next man.
You niggas buggin. I fucks with the Mobb. Especially Prodigy.. I don't give a shit what label they on. When I fist seen the original Quiet Storm video I caught chills.. The lyrics and visuals were crazy.
Well, he told right about the process. All those steps he mentioned are exactly what happens to an inmate when you are sentenced in NYC to a prison term that exceeds a year. If he had a year bid or lighter sentence, he would have spent his entire time on Rikers. As far as him going into the yard with little problems, them dudes would've extorted him. Real talk. You got gangstas locked up. Tony Yayo would have to look out crazy in order for some of them to protect this dude. Don't front. SMH...
there's a drastic different between regular people in prison and celebrities with money in prison, of course you barely going to have issues if you were famous and respected before you went in. but go in as a nobody i don't see the experience being the same lol the prison specials say otherwise and yes i believe the documentaries over his explanation
I dunno, man. Rappers aren't always safe in prison. If you're a famous rapper, a lot of dudes might try to fuck you up, cut you, or even kill you just to get their rep up and get their name out there. They wanna brag like, "I'm the guy that stabbed so-and-so!" An 18-year-old kid might try to take your life just for some stupid street cred. "Yo, I checked so-and-so and he ain't a real gangsta, so I cut him up, bla bla bla. I rep my gang!" That's why most celebs don't go to general population with everyone else. They get a special cell and shit mainly for their own safety.
exactly lol they aren't with everyone else, they get special treatment. just look at any big time celeb you see get locked up, martha stewart, lil wayne, t.i., the list goes on. as well as affluenza( getting off with breaking the law because you were raised rich and don't know any better -_-) i say they ass need to be with everyone else and get treated like everyone else regardless of financial standing and status. the law is the law, break it; know and accept the consequences if caught....not saying you said all that, lol but that's just my whole stand on that whole outlook
Ohhh ok, so we agree then. I misunderstood what you meant. My bad. I thought you meant celebs like "run the jail" or something because they're famous. I was like "the fuck?" Yeah, those dudes locked up on the inside don't give two fucks about how famous you are on the outside. That's truth.
df1phantom see the thing is he is a street nigga first that always matters yea he was a rapper of course but the rap game is not the streets and real niggas in jail know that
Yeah, but it is what it is though. People didn't like Mobb Deep signing with G-Unit. Because of what he said on Piggy Bank, which is fucked up, but I guess people talked shit out.
its crazy cause Mobb been in da game since da early 90th i would have thought he would b gud off his plpz strength & not Gunit but then again i couldnt believe they got signed and not the other way around
Ain't nothing like an educated rapper. Legend.....I don't know wtf most of these hip hop cats are "rapping" about today. I'm a 70's baby. I grew up listening to rap music with substance/teachings. Now, all I hear is how much money they have, how many cars, how many bodies they caught, how many b*tches they smashed, good weed, bragging about how many years they did in the pen, etc. Sad. But hey, they're getting that paper so it works. Can't knock the hustle right
if you actually look at the 2 sides of his forehead, ull see a line that goes straight up his head. Those are from goggles they wear in the tanning salon. He probably has the area around his eyes still light looking crazy so he covered it with the shades
Wait a minute in his freestyle state prison he mentions that dudes never heard of him now all of a sudden everyone was from queens and knew him? Somethings fishy here.
Why our people gotta subject themselves to the entrapments of life. No Matter how big you think you are you gotta keep your head and remember you still got a target covering your entire body 24/7 365
@toneriggz he said it many times he was stupid for having guns on him, or not having cameras in the car which could have proved the cops testimony false and got him off
I dont know who P is tryin to impress, but celebrities are in PC the whole time cause they a liability to the prison if they get hurt....i aint sayin he soft or nothin, it was outta his control, but he was on lock 23 and 1 with little or no contact with other inmates.
@lumhostile and I was one of the ones that bought it haha...damn i didnt know it went platinum...industry was nice back then....u know what i meant tho.
To me he seems like he dropped the tough guy sh!t, the jewelry bullsh!t and alot of the things that kept getting him robbed or smacked up. Who knows what happened in prison, im sure he isnt 100% or close to honest about the bad parts. How long was he there for? 2 or 3 years right? He is a vulnerable dude tho, small guy with sickle cell. Probably alot of people who dont like him in Rikers too.
I'll say this bout prodigy cause I met dude a few times he's a cool dude til he get some liquor in his system then he start actin funny and wanna get balls and be a tough guy I hope he doesn't start drinkin heavy again so he can get back on top of his rap shit
@ThaCholo Pretty sure he said somewhere he was in PC.. But its standard practice to put celebrities in there for their own protection. He also has special needs because he's medicated for sickle cell anemia.
Say that again....... in person not hiding behind yr computer. I know he ain't no role model for my son.... but what u said!? BIG WORDS ARE FOR BIG MEN. remember that!
According to Havoc, niggas was dropping a gem on prodigy in the Pin! Unlike what they said about Pac this shit really happened to prodigy! lol He went SISSY
@slickrickjohnson ther isn't really pc in the pen bruh...people get got in so called "pc" everyday...it's just not general population...shid happens in pc daily...
@0920340543 ofc not! P is a real character. Love what hes done and is doing. BUT ! Hes got this low tone that the background music and the bass reach same level. Either put subtitles or turn off that fucking music Vlad!
