Zing is a Local Government Area in Taraba State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Zing. It has an area of 1,030 km2 and a population of 127,363 at the 2006 census. Zing is predominantly Mumuye.
The Zing produce market which is famous for farm product like yam, groundnuts, tomatoes e.t.c is celebrated on Tuesday and Saturday of every week.
Farmers from almost all the villages in Zing bring their farm products to the market to sell them in the market, buyers as well come from all over the country.
The market is determined by two different season; dry and wet season. In dry season the produce market isn't on tuesdays and saturdays rather Wednesday only, which is the main market day. But during wet season the market is on tuesdays and saturdays.
