Saw them teice last year. The "Break the Wall" fan chant is deafening. Not only in the crowd, but also to Ateez! They cant hear their music over their fans, so they just dance along to us.
Definitely recommend watching live performances for Ateez. They shine the most on the stage, their facial expressions and energy are unmatched in the industry. Kingdom stages and immortal songs ones are great.

What’s more amazing about ateez is that instead of making music that preferred by many, they choose a music that when you heard of it, you know it’s ATEEZ and doesn’t sounds like anyone else in K-POP. They once asked in an interview if they are willing to change their music style to have more domestic fans (because ateez has a small range fanbase in their own home country; they are much more popular internationally) they said that they won’t change anything in their music style just to fit the taste of the locals. They will continue making this kind of music until the locals learn to embrace their music. Btw, ATEEZ is pronounced as EY- TEAZ. I want to share as well that ATEEZ is the only kpop group doesn’t came from BIG 3 and HYBE company who enters Billboard charts landing on #1 and placing #2 on UK BB Charts. Ah and they reference many many sci-fi and fantasy books and movies! To say some, Inception(they even have a song called that and key part of their storyline), Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Dune(also have songs directly called Dune and Eternal Sunshine), Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Lord of the rings, Blade Runner, the manga Akira for the cyberpunk dystopian dimension (also have a fan favorite song called Cyberpunk), and Guerrilla and this series are heavily inspired and referenced by the movie Equilibrium (the whole human emotion being banned thing, and what you hear at the beggining is the speech a character makes in the movie) 1984, Metropolis (you can see the cover of the book is referenced in the background) and overall the works of Philip K. Dick and Ursula Le Guin that inspired many of those movies😌 In conclusion, keep listening and reading about Ateez music and storyline bc they are freaking amazing for that and everything!!
I loved how you guys described your emotions. I'm glad you are enjoying the music and production! I think pirates idea still fits for this ' the world' era of albums because I feel the idea represents freedom = freedom of expression. but their other albums too like Pirate life can mean chasing your desires = "fever" era albums and adventure ="treasure" era albums. Idk how they seem so consistent despite how different their styles change. it's impressive

Will be fun to follow your Ateez journey ☺️ (edit to add its great you read that comment about the storyline as it really gives you the right perspective for this and Halazia). There's a YT channel called 'It's Live' and they did about 4/5 songs on there which really show off their vocals well with low key instrumentals or their cover of Leave the door open is a great one. Jongho is the one hitting the awesome high notes. He's their youngest member and insanely talented (they all are!) If you want to witness his high notes live, definitely check out their Wonderland performance on a show called Kingdom, also shows they don't need an MV to make you feel like you've watched a movie! Most of their title tracks are very big like what you've seen so far, but as you can tell from their vocal ability, they are able to do some amazing slower pace tracks too like Turbulence and literally any bside track you pick will throw you into something new from them 👍
What's funny is the original title was going to be Coup D'etat but the ceo said it was too strong lol and then they performed Guerrilla at the Blue house (former SK presidential residency now public park a few months bf Ateez performed there) so imagine the title Ateez performed Coup d'etat at the blue house :D 😂 But I mean guerrilla and the meaning is still strong since it's about overthrowing the government, they are saved since it's covered as fiction but it's very iconic of them😌 And yes in their worldview they are part of an anarchist organization called The Black Pirates and yup it's so cool the A is for Anarchy and Ateez at the same time, and that they even have this concept never seen in a kpop group and so relatable and important topics in real life!
coup d'état would have been a really cool and unique title, sounds almost like a punk song, haha. Ooh that's interesting, we really need to dive further into their lore because their guide only left us wanting to see and know more.

Alright If you guys are going to deep dive on their lore buckle up for this list! Firstly I recommend watching Diary Film, and while you are at it their show Fever Road bc they have many clues and little special clips of their lore that aren't said in other videos! Then Inception(the beggining of their story, literally Inception! Then Thanxx, the Fever pt 2 concept teaser 1 and 2 that everyone forgets, Celebrate, Fireworks and after I think I would put other songs but I'm not sure so for other of release are Deja Vu, Eternal Sunshine, Turbulence, The Real. And the Treasure series are after Fever lore wise so In this order, Intro long journey trailer, Pirate King, Treasure, Illusion, Crescent, Wave, Wonderland, Answer and outro long journey! After that The World series begin and this time is better to directly listen to the whole albums in order bc the bsides also tell the story! Actually every single song does but with The World is more noticeable and cohesive. But before that watch the video Wake up, the world then Movement trailer 1 and 2, and when you reach Outlaw album, first the Outlaw trailer and the Ateez on Undercover videos (tho these are previews of the bsides so watch later if you don't want to be spoiled), Bouncy teaser (1 only, the 2nd spoils) and the rest of the album. Then The World EP Fin: Will trailer, the tracklist preview instrumental and the rest of the album. Since Crescent pt 2 till the end are part of World A where the Fever series take place and the first half of the album on World Z, the distopian world. And Halazia Is a spin off of the world series that we don't know much yet but very important too and a must to watch are the Spin off from the witness Prologue and Epilogue and the half an hour video called I've seen it, will you? they realeased before for clues it was very fun but you don't have to watch it just go to the comments for the time stamps. Another must is the diary version of their albums that tell more of their story, the channel eterniteez have them narrated with visuals, or searching the ateez lore masterdoc.
