Hey guys sorry about my camera lagging a bit at some points in the vid, the audio is fine & the screen-capture that shows the lyric video is fine soooooo on the lagging parts just imagine that I'm yelling about the song on a podcast instead of a crappy video lmao 😂🦁

Hi maybe someone already said this in the comments but they have a drill song, its a sub-unit song called 3racha, named after the producing members of the group

It's interesting you mentioned nursery rhymes a couple of times because the melody of the ending part is that of a Korean nursery rhyme.

If you're talking about CB's part at the end then yeah I could totally see that, love how many of these types of stories they wove into the song

with this song... the people that get it, get it... can't believe people hate on skz for their more experimental songs... imo those are the best, they're so smart. 3racha big brains ong

the song in itself is a representation of time... the actual beat is really slow and they play around with the pacing which is supposed to reflect the story of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise who is slow but won the race and the Hare who is faster but still lost. At the end Changbin says, "round, round the world is round, no matter how fast you go, you end up at the same spot" basically like live your life at your own pace kinda thing (skz are big on that message). They kinda take turns with the narrative. some of them speaking like the hare and some of them like the tortoise. That's an oxymoron in itself where han raps super fast saying "slowslowslow" in the pov of the hare (the beat seems like it's slowed down here) bc he's going too fast and he's gonna win anyway (showing overconfidence). and there's I.N saying "faster" but he's saying it so slowly and dragging his words to represent the tortoise. So yeah it's like a back and forth. It's the perfect representation of the fable but so technically put in the form of a song. This is only a part of what I remember honestly I'm sorry if I'm not making sense T-T

Another STRAY KIDS song with strong time themes is their seriously underrated CHRONOSAURUS - I highly recommend it because of the theme, wordplay, references and production - like an onion, it has multiple layers to peel back if you want to. Or you can just take it at face value. I think you'll like it a lot.

This is so unerappreciated. I love the word play and how they used the ideas of the tortoise and the hare fable to express their desire to go at their own pace and resist pressure. They expressed similar themes in other music - most notably My Pace. I love how they played with flows and time in the song and made what was actually a slow tempo feel super fast with the highhat(?) beats - which also felt like the heartbeat of rabbit. It's a gem. Enjoyed your reaction.

Love this song, I think it's brilliant. I get why it's not the most popular, and I have to be in a certain mood for it, but I return to it again and again. I love the way they play with the feeling of the tempo. If you dance to this, the tempo of the underlying beat is consistent, but they do so much with cutting the beat into pieces then making it whole then hitting every other beat and so on...... . I like the way they gave the the vocals almost a monotone melody and the vocalists put their own depth and spin into it. And I love Bang Chan's microtone section where he is just a fraction of a tone off the pitch, on purpose and consistently, it gives such a cool effect and is so clearly on purpose. I'm super sensitive to off pitch singing, it's like nails on a blackboard to me, so I'm very impressed that he was able to do this in a way that it didn't make me want to hide my head under a pillow. In fact, I love it. Some of the words you were searching for--they are incorporating all types of *folklore in this song (ancient Greek Aesops' fable which has become Western folklore, and the Korean folk story/parable of the two brothers--the little bit at the end about the world being round, is from a Korean nursery rhyme). And they are really really good at *integrating their vocalists' singing into their rap heavy songs

I absolutely love this song. It's definitely in my top 10 of Stray Kids. It's so different and I like the contrast between the fast/slow in the lyrics and the speed at which they say it. Also, the "I know, you know, we know, Lee Know" line by the man himself is so funny (I love it). The moment it started I knew you were going to like it. Once again, thanks for your production's analysis. Hm, I can only add that there's a lot of wordplay (there are some notes in that lyrics video) and I wish I could know more about it. I think Handsome Sausages talked a little about that in their reaction since they understand/speak korean (not sure how in depth it was, I watched that video a while ago). But maybe you'd like to check it out.

You should listen to Han's solo (haha, Han Solo 🙃 Still funny to me) track 'I Got It'... It's one of many truly iconic and amusing solo tracks from him. The man is an unbelievable songwriter as well as a rapper and vocalist. (Other AMAZING solos form him that i STRONGLY recommend, would be 'Alien' and 'Volcano' both of which are much more vocal that 'I Got It', but showcase his love of melodic rap wonderfully.) However, it's this very love of Melodic Rap, as well as the major sacrifice for the group that he made back in late 2019. Which, in the end, caused new fans to, understandably, be unfamiliar with the '0T9 Han'. Whom, back then, was THE "fast rapper" of SKZ. In case you are interested in the story surrounding all of this... Basically, Stray Kids had their whole world turned upside-down when they lost their main vocalist, suddenly and without any warning. Leaving 'VocalRacha' down a member with the two remaining unequipped to take on the role. In theirnown words their voices lacked training, were underdeveloped, very thin, unsupported, and would go on to require nearly two yaars of twice daily training before Seungmin felt confident enough to take on the role now required of him. (Which today he is perfect at fulfilling and has lne of the best voices of all the 4th gen guys.) So Han, being the amazing talent that he is, and despite having little to no professional vocal training at all. (Yet does have the second widest range in the group [Felix], an abundance of natural talent, and of course the innate ability to hit and hold impressive notes which is ehy the group, to this day, depends on him for its highest register notes) He took on the role of main vocalist, on top of still holding down his positions of a Main Rapper and a Main producer... later, being part of the many reasons the group did away with such positions. (As too many of the members occupied positions within each talent category, that it was just confusing to new fans and no longer useful in practice.) For nearly two year Han held this position and fit it so well, that outside of the fandom no one even seemed to register the change. In fact, not only did their participation in 'Kingdom' mark the end of Han having to hold down 3 main positions, when, after having proven himself in the cover performance of IU's song 'Love Poem', Seungmin found himsef being promoted by 3RACHA. Well, Han himself became the talk of the internet with his in the cover performance of the BTOB song 'I'll Be Your Man' where han blew everyone away with his vocals. Signaling that all that time, his sacrifice for the group, although deeply admired by the fans, had successfully gone unnoticed by the GP. Although that is a good thing, that missing the lead vocalist wasn't noticeable to the public, kinda stung when you realized what pressure that it had put on Han. In fact, it was during the time when all that weight was put on him, that he had to take a 4 month hiatus due to having panic attacks on stage. (He has social anxiety, and having all of those eyes on him, while so much was riding on him succeeding, was very daunting. Likely even terrifyingly overwhelming. This is, presumably, why so much of the music he writes today, such as 'Alien', is about being different, depression and anxiety.) Long story not so short, Han is an undeniably beautiful example of a wonderful young man. As he lives with what he does, doing what he does every day is not a weakness but an undeniable strength. As he's unafraid to admit his shortcomings of his mistakes, he acticly and diligently works very hard to always be a better version of himself, not to mention the strength it takes to do his job at the level he does it. Period. He could have gone solo, he could have become an unfathomably famous producer and saved himsef the stage pressure (although his stage presence is... truly immaculate and swoonworthy), or he could even have EASILY become a comedian had, he been inclined to do so! That said, At least saving himself the pressure of a rapper and vocalist. Instead, he fought like hell for his group members... despite no one outside of STAY ever even realizing it. Just to have them all be blown away at 'Kingdom' by his vocals because they had no idea kne of the talented rappers in SKZ was such a talented vocalist, too. Funny enough... this is the exact reason so many people today know him as the melodic rapper of SKZ. When actually, prior to their losing a member, It was actually HAN whom was the 'fast rapper'. However, due to the reality of his needing to be the main vocalist, he transitioned his rapping style to that which he still uses today. Aka... his melodic rap. He is able to transition in and out of it much easier in songs where he is also a vocalist. That ability to encompass so many completely different vocal talents that caused him to be almost unrecognizable from one to the next earned him the nickname "Man of a Million Voices." Likewise, it was in this time in which Changbin not only gained an affinity for speed himself. He was initially helping to lesson the weight on Han by helping to fill those positions in songs. As well as a deep adoration for it as well. Something the fans accepted quite happily. This also earned him a nickname 'Man of a Million Flows'.... For very obvious reasons. He was able to not only fulfill the requirements of his original signature flow styles on their tracks but the ones Han had become known for as well. Both of them went on, of course, to discover those titles were but the foundation on which SKZ immense success and popularity are flourishing today. Right along aide that of all the other undeniably talented and indispensable members.

I read somewhere than Han wrote this song in like 15 minutes (and he may have possibly been drunk while doing so but Stays please correct me if I'm wrong)

They said they wrote this song after being inspired by tacos they got in LA 🥲 it was heavily implied that they were drunk lol But han only wrote his verse in 15 minutes not the whole song 😭 (still pretty impressive tho!)
