I can never truly appreciate a kpop video until Producer tells me all the details that I need to appreciate.

I believe that keychain is Sungjin's but the keychain Wonpil was holding hanging on to the bars is his. They have the same one, maybe a bff sign or something. Anyway, Sungjin dropped it when he got off the bus to confess to the girl and Wonpil picked it up. In that scene, I think it kind of serves as a wake up call for Wonpil that Sungjin's gone (he confessed, he likes someone else). But in the October mv, Wonpil gave it to him and Sungjin held it tightly, accepting it. So I guess they're back together as best friends and maybe Sungjin will never know that Wonpil loves him. Sorry, I'm writing a fanfic here.

I think that he was *starting* to like her after the convenience store scene because of how she acted about it. I think Brian is that typical "misunderstood bad boy" character where he maybe comes from a not so good family and people think he's a trouble maker and are usually mean to him or avoid him (are scared of him?) so he closed himself off from people. Despite that though, this girl is talking to him and she isn't afraid to tell him to stop being a jerk (when she shoved the mop in his face during I Loved You) but also cares about him enough to defend him when no one else would so I think he's softening to her and starting to fall for her.

My theory is since it was three days ago (WYLS) that Wonpil gave Sungjin that keychain as a gift. Then 3 days later during ILY, Sungjin dropped it while running towards the girl to confess. So, keychain symbolizes Sungjin & Wonpil’s friendship? Sungjin sort of dropped his ‘friendship’ with Wonpil for the girl. Then you have a scene in ILY where Wonpil hangs on the bar sadly looking at the dropped keychain, probably hurt that Sungjin dropped it and didn’t ask or look for it back. Idk, just a theory I figured 😂

for me i believe that the order of the storylines are What Can I Do to When You Loved Someone (except the confession scene) and then I Loved You. I think that everything in WYLS except the confession scene is inbetween ILY and WCID. Like in WCID youngk's a lowkey asshole to the girl but after she helps him in WYLS, he softens up. That's why in the cleaning scene in ILY it almost seemed like they alr knew each other. Also Jae seeing barista girl in WYLS seemed like the it was first time he saw her, while in ILY he alr is interested in her. And Sungjin decides to confess to the girl bc he has alr seen two instances where she likes youngk so he probably realises that he has no chance anymore. I'm still a believer that Wonpil is in love with Sungjin lol, the way he looks at him and the hurt on his face is not something a "concerned best friend" would show tbh, theres a lot more emotion behind it. Also i feel like the order of the keychain scenes are 1) where Wonpil was at the park looking at the keychain in ILY, 2) Wonpil passing Sungjin the keychain on the bridge in WYLS, 3) Wonpil looking at the keychain in the bus after Sungjin dropped it

DAMN I REALLY LOVED HOW THEY DID THE MVS. I never expected that When You Love Someone would be the bridge that connects the story of What Could I Do and I Loved You. The story made more much more sense. I think i never saw a MV where there are 3 MVs that would make a story, let alone a “plot twist” that the 3rd MV happened between the first and the second. This is such a refreshing idea. I stan the right group ❤❤

Okay so these are my thoughts about the storyline: Jae likes the coffee shop girl, and his friend likes him, but he only sees her as a good friend Sungjin likes Jae’s friend and I’m not sure if she might move on from Jae and like him, but I think she doesn’t I have 3 different possibilities about what’s going on with Wonpil. When I watched these videos for the first time, I thought that he liked the same girl and Sungjin, but a lot of theories say that he likes Sungjin, which I also see as a possibility. Or, as he himself said, he’s just very good friends with Sungjin and doesn’t like to see him suffer because of his crush. Dowoon is a rich boy but his parents aren’t really there for him much, which makes him kind of lonely. He’s really popular with the girls but doesn’t show any interest towards him. I also think that he might not even realize how popular he is among them. Okay and I have quite an interesting theory about Young K’s relationship with the girl: I actually think that they might be brother and sister. Not only because they have similar hair colors and kind of look like each other, but also the way that they interact with each other. For example how he leaves her alone when they’re supposed to clean up the classroom. It kind of seems like sibling-teasing to me. It’s also that she stands up for him against his boss. I don’t think that they’re friends, so why else would you suddenly stand up for this boy that you don’t know? Yes, she might be secretly crushing on him, but to me, they seem to annoy each other too much for that. They have a nice and fun talk at the playground, which shows that besides teasing each other, they do love each other too. This also might explain why Sungjin suddenly looks so worried/sad when he sees them at the playground. Not because he’s jealous, (he didn’t look that upset when she was interacting with Jae. And they’re literally just talking, so there’s not much need to be jealous) but because he realizes that he’s been crushing on his classmate’s sister. Wonpil might have already known about this, which is why he feels so sorry for his friend and looks so uncomfortable when Sungjin sees them. I also agree about Young K kind of presenting as a bad boy, but tbh he seems more like the misunderstood kind of type. He seems to act a bit cocky and cold, except when he’s around his sister and... Dowoon. This might just be because I ship them, but his actions towards Dowoon definitely seems like someone is having a secret crush. Or maybe just a friendly attraction, but I like to think about this all in a romantic way ;) Young K seems pretty protective around Dowoon. He tells the girls to go away from him and stop bothering him, and saved him from whoever that was who wanted to hit him in the arcade. Idk I just find the whole Briwoon situation in this mv’s very cute :3

After watching your analysis for the Congratulations/You Were Beautiful storyline I was really excited for you to react to this trilogy and hear your thoughts on it. To see the cinematography appreciated was really great bc interrupting an MV/song for the storyline is risky, but Day6 really managed to pull it off. It seemed to me that the storyline ended with WYLS but if it continues I won't be complaining hahahah

This is a very personal interpretation, but I believe that Wonpil is in love with Sungjin, who has no idea. I mean dayum, nobody looks that pensive staring at their best friend staring at another girl. Plus they also show Wonpil brooding while holding Sungjin's keychain. Brian loves Dowoon or is at least interested in him - in the "What Can I Do' MV he's shown sassing Dowoon's fangirls and now in the 'I Loved You' MV he comes to Dowoon's defense even though Dowoon does not give a fuck lmao. Jae is...Jae. Anyway all of this is just conjecture and speculation, I know that JYP won't *canonically* make any of their music videos gay but they are definitely not above queerbaiting us, I mean did anybody see the teaser photos for Wonpil & Sungjin for this latest MV???If you replaced either Sungjin or Wonpil in the teaser photo with a girl it would instantly be interpreted as romantic. Even if it really isn't canonically gay that won't stop me interpreting it as such. Everyone is free to read what they want into any fictional work even though it's not in line with original creator's intentions. Which is why it pains me to see some fans shit on fellow MyDays for interpreting it as gay. 😞 All that aside, great video! Maybe Wonpil actually has a thing for the girl but his best pal, Sungjin, likes her too so maybe he kinda feels like his feelings for the girl is lesser and Sungjin's more important (inseparable childhood friends kinda vibe) so he be like "gonna hand her over to SJ and root for her if she's not gonna be mine" that's why when he picked up the keychain the girl dropped, he gives it to SJ to give him an opportunity to talk with the girl. We saw Wonpil contemplating before giving the keychain, right? Maybe that's when he was thinking whether to go for his own opportunity or to pass the baton to SJ, in which he did at the end.

Agree. Dowoon's storyline completed 90% throughout the 3 videos I'm still so confused with Young K's character @when you love someone, why isn't he badass? Why is he vulnerable in front of his boss and the girl?? (probably because he was so traumatised with his boss and wanted to express his anger towards his classmates??) I think Wonpil is not any defined Character(like other day6 members), but more likely an anthropomorphism to the Keychain, of the state between Sungjin and the girl. @i loved you, the keychain was left behind on the bus and Wonpil took it (the girl's love is available to Sungjin), then WP started investigating it upside down (there's unusual chemistry between SJ and the girl). @When you love someone, Wonpil returns the keychain to SJ after his confession (The girl is now Sungjin's "property") PDnim, tell me what you think!!!! and Thanks for the reaction video!! SWEET CHAOS by DAY6!!! Latest comeback 💥

Watching it again after 6yrs, actually the keychain seemed to belong to the girl, then when she got off the bus, it broke and fell Sungjin was in a hurry to catch up to her and confess so it was Wonpil who saw the keychain. Wonpil was on the playground alone hanging upside down and looking on the keychain, i think, deciding to give it to Sungjin who was not with him that time (also Sungjin already confessed last night? Possibly its the weekend, that is why Dowoon was only in their mansion doing nothing). Then later in the day, Jae and his friend, the girl, met on a coffee shop to chill. Later on, Jae went to the same playground, on the swing, imagining his crush. I am guessing the next day Wonpil and Sungjin met up on the bridge to which he gave the keychain, this was the last part of the song, but later on, YoungK who was doing part-time during the weekend, met and was defended by the girl, then YoungK and the girl go in the same playground where Wonpil was (early morning?) and sat on the same swings as Jae was, and coming from the bridge and some hanging out in the city, Wonpil and Sungjin see YoungK and the girl becoming closer. So Friday night, Sungjin confesses, Wonpil got the keychain. Dowoon spends the Saturday weekend inside feeling bored and lonely but remembers ypungK as he drinks his banana milk on the rooftop(Same drink he was drinking when YoungK found him after he was defended by YoungK), Jae and the girl went to the café, then Jae went to the playground on the swings, later on at sunset Wonpil was on the playground deciding on the keychain, next day Sunday, Wonpil and Sungjin meet up and the keychain was given on the bridge, then later in the day, in the evening girl defended YoungK from store owner and went to the same playground, and Sungjin and Wonpil after hanging out after the bridge meet up, sees girl and YoungK getting closer. I was even thinking this music video happened in one day, it only complicates since Wonpil was looking at the keychain on what seems a sunset but meets up with Sungjin on the bridge to give the keychain on a much earlier time of the day, so I am guessing these music video happened from Friday night to Sunday night.
