I've been producing officially for last 5yrs.,and I really like this video to show to artists that come in and want to haggle price...just to let them know how much time/effort goes n2 a recording session
Very nice video ! Can you provide the names of the 3 different hard drives you mentioned at the end? Because I have a problem managing my computer space
I just meant that i keep my sessions backed up on 3 hard drives, in case any of my drives break or get lost I won’t lose any of my work. If you’re having space issues, I’m guessing you’re putting too much stuff on your computer drive. The only thing on your computer’s hard drive should be software installations. All sessions and sounds should be on external drives. I’ll make a vid about this
Post about production workflow. I always have trouble focusing on production if my drums are thin. But now if I’m mixing it, I lose the production ideas. So I go to my mixing presets to do it as fast as possible. Would love to hear your side
cool, I'm planning out a couple longer-form production videos to share my whole process. I generally separate the production and mixing processes. I try not to do many mixing things when producing - only creative FX if I have a specific idea to try. I leave all the EQ, compression, and proper mixing for after the song is done and I can just be in mix mode to knock it out
Great. Very much enjoyed other video you posted recently. Very interested in vocal coaching and production side of it. If you can make video about those that would be great! Much appreciated!
Oh no haha, not my intent. You’d be surprised how much ground you can cover in a year if you commit to learning the craft. I didn’t start my studio journey til i was 25/26
