Hello, I also bought a very old MC-300, I am very curious, I don't understand the real working principle, it is just a process of recording MIDI signals, and then sending MIDI signals to the keyboard? Cubase and keyboard can do it, why go through it?
Hey Catwei and thanks for your question. I think using an old sequencer like the MC-300 makes it all a bit more authentic. It's just more fun punching in the exact notes or record the melody on a device like this instead of endlessly staring at a computer screen and edit all midi info on a grid in Cubase. Cheers!
