Screws should never pop out. Maybe you didn’t drill pilot holes? Take your bit and mark it with a piece of tape. Make sure you mark it so the bit only goes halfway through the deck. The wood screws will drop right in and never come out.
Thanks for that mate. Don’t get me wrong- it’s not an issue all the time, and I have pre-drilled in the past but on occasion a screw will pull anyway. I just feel better with a little something extra holding the rail on.
