Part of a new range of ostomy bags and other products, the SenSura Mio Convex Flip utilizes a curved, star-like formation and elastic adhesive to align with outward body shapes. The solution accommodates bulges and hernias and provides consistent contact between the barrier and the skin’s surface.
How it Works
Inverted Shape: The SenSura Mio Convex Flip’s inverted shape is designed to stay close to the body without folding over or developing creases.
Easy to Use: As soon as it’s in place, the user simply needs to open the petals over the outward-shaped area. The central stability ring can be positioned over the stoma to provide the ideal amount of support.
Decreases Detaching: The adhesive then moves with the body’s natural motions without detaching.

Could this part number also be used on the more extreme inward retracted stoma as well? Surely looks like the answer to my dreams for my wife. Going to try the CONVEX Flx and then the CONVEX DEEP click if I have to first, but I think this thing applied "off label" will hold the center down IN the "well" enough to keep the tissue junctions much cleaner and output free. The EARS with the scallops will lay down and conform to the adipose tissue well and Yeah.... I need these today. Can't get more than 22 hours or so since I am ALSO battling inflammation and erosion, etc at the stitch sites because unless I put antibiotic as a barrier to output, the output IS going under the barrier and getting on the junction circle and stitch "wells" and wrinkles.... Can't use paste, at least the Convatex stuff near the stoma because it WILL stick to and denude the colonic lining. I need a box of these to try.... 2-piece...

I would have liked to have seen you cut the pouch. Also, i would have liked to have seen you applying the bag to the grapefruit and removing it.

I found the flip a great product for my peristoma herina. My hollister barrier did not like the curved surface and the coloplast flip is ideal. But I do not like the pouch drain. Its so short I have to feel my way and neuropathy makes that a challenge. AND I have not found a clean way to empty if the stool is watery. My fingers are soiled as soon as I roll the open. I would love for someone to actually demonstrate this with a pouch full of water.😮

I am been using hollister for the last 3 years and it took me a while to figure out a few tricks. If you are empting a hollister bag.... First start out by pulling out about 4 or 5 strips of TP. baby wipes work alot better when your output is watery. Hold that last fold of the pouch if you need to control the output into the toilet a bit better if your splashing. Once you are empty. Grab the bag on both sided between your index and middle fingle and pinch and glide your fingers down the bag right up to the last fold. Open the end wide by pinching the sides at the end of the bag. Push in a strip of tp and jam it down the next of the pouch (you wanna get the area that fold up super clean and dry) so using yout finger to push out the wad of TP out into the toilet...repeat this until clean. NEXT i press the TP into the corners of the opening to get the last remains out. Hold the end of the pouch up now when you roll the first fold....make sure the plastic on the pouch is taugh and flat and that there are no creases along your first fold. ROLL OUTWARD AND UP to create the second tight fold....one again you wanna make sure there is no wrinkles in the plastic. Then when you get the the velcro section pull that section taught so the the velcro is tight. Make sure you corners of the bag are clean as to not stain clothing. AS for me, i am ordering Sensura Mio stuff for the next month and see how it does. The only 100% safe way to not have soiled hands and to nit havr stained clothes is to order Closed Pouches instead....honestly its alot cleaner quicker to pop off a bag when its full. Thankfull my medical covers my supplies so i could afford to get 3 boxes of closed Mini bags. MINI bags are real nice, and more descreet Hope that info above helped....if you need anything rlse just let me know.

Some great advice here. I would also add that both Hollister and Coloplast make 2-piece "high output" pouches that are designed for liquid output with a plastic drain spout at the bottom, so that could be a possible solution. Although as the name implies they are somewhat large. You can get a version to fit both the Hollister New Image series and the Coloplast Sensura Mio (including the convex flip wafers). Thanks to all for watching!!

If you’re using a 2-piece system you can buy pouch liners that fit inside of your bag. When it’s time to empty your bag you remove the bag from the barrier, pull out the old full liner from the bag and dispose of it (some of these liners are flushable), put in a new liner, then replace your bag. In doing so the bag itself is basically always clean. No need to clean the end of the bag on each empty. Attiva pouch liners seem to be the preferred liner.

I have been using this product for 3 years now but I don’t know which size to get as the hole in the middle is to big so I have fighting with granulation for years . So I need help in which size to get . My stoma also goes in and out so very hard to know which size to go too . I’m currently getting the 2 piece 50 mm and the which would be good if the middle was not cut to big .

Call them, they are fantastic and will help you. My stoma is an 1 1/4 which is about 35mm so I get the flange for that size. Best wishes
