Hey, Jaime thanks for your comment: Cisco IP phones like this one require registration on a network with some type of manager, such as Cisco Call Manager or Cisco Unified Communications Manager. There are also a couple of different software versions that these phones run on. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and the most common, and what ships by default on our used Cisco IP phones, SCCP (Skinny Client Control Protocol). We recommend these phones be configured and deployed by network engineer, or someone who is familiar with TCP/IP and network communications. If you have any further questions please let us know.
