Sorry for the delay in responding. I saw your comment but was out of town and couldn't weigh it for you. The new photo trimmer is 16 ounces without the scissors housed in the back and 19 ounces with the scissors housed in the back. Hope this helps you decide. I really love the larger workspace and lower profile.

The new photo trimmer weighs 16 ounces without the scissors housed in the back and 19 ounces with the scissors housed in the back. I hope this helps you decide. I really love the lower profile and larger cutting space.
