Hi Mark, congratulations to this very nice piece of Gillette history. I have bought also this set on Ebay just for the box quite a while ago (you might remember).So I have the replated and original plated Executive like you (i think your original one is in better condition than mine). Hi Mark, I have at least 3 Gillette adjustables, including a Fatboy, but not, as yet, an Executive. A small point - Isleworth is pronounced 'eye-zul-wurth' as far as I recall. I used to travel there for work, nearly 3 decades ago. 😐

It'll be on display, but with occasional shaves! I do like to shave, now and again, with my collected razors. Then after each shave the are cleaned and dried very carefully and put back. It keeps me happy 😃 Have a great weekend.

The razor is dated 1958 (D3). They were first sold for the upcoming seasonal holiday, that year.

Hi Mark. Congratulations on your purchase. I wanted to ask which sonic cleaner do you have and what type of oil do you use to lubricate your razors? Sorry to hear that your Mum had been in hospital but glad to hear that she's alright. God bless.

Hi Rob, thanks for your blessings. I have a cheap cleaner from Amazon; I think it was £20. I really just wanted to try one, to see if they were any good without spending a fortune. It works quite well. I use Balistol oil, which is food safe. I find it works very well and I only have a 50ml can as a little goes a long way. Cheers
