I loved that you take fittness serious. Some moms always ask me: "when do find time to exercise?" my answer is always: "make it a priority". And show up. Consistency beats intensity. 😊
I am just getting into my fitness journey as a single mom. Most days I have to trick myself into working out using pre-workout. Most days that is the only thing that gets me by lol. I am now working on a 5:15 am wake up to fit that workout in before online school. It is hard but you are correct. Make it a priority and get it done by any means.
Watching this really has me realizing there’s no reason I can’t get my 30 min workout in in the morning before my kids wake up. I am not a wake up and workout person at all! I will give it a shot though 😅
This was so timely! This past Monday I started homeschooling and I was telling my husband I am already feeling burnt out. The working out in the morning is gonna be a game changer for me. Definitely need it! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Ashlee I'm so inspired by your warrior workout. I'm finally at a place of physical recovery that I can focus on strengthening my core. The other day I did 80 sit ups and pushed through with tears but I did it. Thanks for sharing and supporting veteran own businesses. Black riffle coffee is awesome but too much for me. May God bless your family
I so appreciate this inspirational nudge - that you are not a morning workout person but that you are doing it for the good of your kids and your homeschool. THAT is what I need to do. Thank you, Ashley.
I loved this! MAJOR Props to you for working out immediately after you wake up. I have found that getting my workout in after our morning time and before lunch is the sweet spot for me. The older kids watch the toddler and then after lunch we tackle the rest of our lessons while the toddler naps.
I really need to change my morning routine and get up earlier but I can never seem to get to bed at a decent time. What time do you go to bed and how do you motivate yourself to do that consistently every night?
I also get up early to workout (5:30). I just won't have the time later in the day to do it otherwise. I agree that it is hard going from sleep to grind in about 15 minutes! I am doing Beachbodys Barre Blend and it is harder than I thought. I am so sweaty afterwards but feel so good. Love your day in the life videos. Your home is lovely and I love that you burn candles to make it cozy🤗
I love watching videos like this. Thank you! Do you also have an evening routine video? I think, for me, having a good morning is dependent on what kind of evening/bedtime routine I have, and I've been slacking. I would love to see your evenings & what time you're in bed in order to get up so early. I am not a morning person but would love to be.
Your morning routine inspired my kids and me- thank you!! 💛 PS- If you love her Armor of God study, you have to do Discerning the Voice of God next!! Both are so, SO awesome.
Black rifle is THE BEST! We use the Beyond Black. Had the subscription over a year. We are 7 days in w/using a chore n "flow" schedule & starting time, morning basket alternating science n history & virtues book plus God timeline, most all tgatb subjects...I read classics to them, they read odessey books to each other, Abeka readers for comp check-all while keeping a 1 year old-saving Math n LA for his 2 naps. Ty so much- it's been the happiest, most peaceful (all things considered lol)start in 4 years. I even use my planner and just document what we actually did and mark the weeks. All new to me-All. Your strategies work. I've copied so much. Complete game changer. I have a chronic illness too and the pace is fabulous. My body is happy. We even have time for bike rides and art/play/long lunch. Your impact is prob greater than you know. That's it-Just big thanks from our fam!
I hear you about the morning workout. I recently switched up to doing my quiet time first and then working out. I find I like having coffee first. But we do different things for the different periods of our lives. Gotta change things up almost every year.
Love this! So inspiring. Love that bible study it’s so good!! Her videos are great! ❤️ ❤️ can’t wait to hear more on the kids breakfast solo. Thanks for sharing! Blessings!
My homeschool friend and I were just talking about how I can incorporate working out into my day (homeschool newbie) and your name came up. I’m a gym lover but not sure I’ll be able to make it with my 3 kids and school when they’ll be ready but we’ll see. Love seeing your homeschool routines...they have really helped me and prepared me for this upcoming year. I’m doing that Bible study as well and I agree, it is so timely!
30K subs! Woohoo! You totally deserve it! I had to switch my workouts to early morning this homeschooling year too and it’s coming along but I am not a morning person either.
Thank you for sharing your morning routine. Very timely. I am actually sitting down today to map out our daily routine and I'm wondering what you had your kids up to during your morning time (forgive me if you mentioned it in the video and I missed it). I'm assuming they focus on making and cleaning up their breakfast, getting dressed and brushed, and their own morning chores? I love how they were ready to meet you at the table at 9am. Do they have an alarm clock to get them up and or alert them to start time?
Such inspiration with the early workout!! And also- I literally started this bible study a week ago also!! It’s so good and a passage I’ve wanted to meditate on for months. What perfect timing considering 2020. 😅😉
My routine: 6:30 wake up, stumble downstairs in an absolute zombie state. Locate coffee. Sit on couch and down 3 cups in silence. 9:30 start school. I really really need to up my game 😂
Been looking for content like this of a homeschool mama who finds time for devotions AND a hard workout in the morning! I've been struggling to get everything done I want to before we begin our school day. I do have a 19 month old and he often throws a wrench in my productively 😂💙 but he sweetly sleeps in until about 8, so I'm definitely in breakfast mode by that time and not working out. My girls have morning chores and get themselves ready. They've also been helping with breakfast and dishes. Yet somehow I never seem to get it all done before 9. What time did you begin your workout? I similarly workout for 45mins-1hr and finding time to shower and do my devotion are where I struggle. But those are my priorities, so I need to change something!:) Thanks for the awesome content!
Love that you share your routine and always love seeing how other homeschoolers manage their days! I would recommend that you read the book ROAR by Stacy T. Sims! It’s about women and our body and working out and that we are not little men when it comes to working out and nutrition. I learned that my habit for many years of working out on an empty stomach first thing in the morning was wreaking havoc on my hormones. It’s a must read for moms who love to workout and have kids. Game changer!!!
It took me awhile to figure out early morning workouts. Now it's just apart of my day🤗 When can we officially start burning fall candles? When the temps are in the 80's🤷♀️
Yes I seen that too. That is purely satanic and found in masonry. Wich is also satanic. This is what defiles a home. Too many Christians not on gaurd. All it takes is one item. This is going to be taught to the kids. Scary times ahead.
Yes, it is important to teach our children these symbols and what they represent so our children can be discerning of the times in which we are living. My daughter can now point all of them out and knows it is evil.
I like that you guys get ready every day, I'm inspired to make this a habit ! Right now we are usually in PJs (which is just regular loose clothes) & messy hair.
Omg thank you for the inspiration watched this yesterday evening and woke up at 6 am Today to work out currently drinking My Coffee already showered for day I have 3 Lils 4 and under and I need this and I am 4 Months postpartum and everything is so jiggly 😖
We homeschooled the whole way, and my kids are in college now. This made me nostalgic. Enjoy the journey. The days are long, but the years are short. It is all worth it! My now adult kids are amazing, kind, wonderful hardworking people who love the Lord -- and their faith was strengthened rather than derailed during college because of the time we had to build our faith together as a family instead of rushing through. We spent time teaching the kids why we believe in Jesus, and love covers a multitude of sins. Bravo, momma! You will never regret it.
I just found your channel and just want to thank you so much for sharing! We are starting our first year of homeschooling with the good and the beautiful and you’ve provided so much help with what I’ve watched so far! We have 4 kiddos too (9, 7, almost 5 and almost 3) and you’re giving me hope that homeschooling may actually work haha :)
Love your morning routine! My mornings seem so crazy. My kids are 5 and 3 and wake up at 6! They need constant monitoring....so it’s really hard to do anything, especially a workout, shower or quiet time! Someone please tell me it get easier! Ha ha!
I am like Katie...4 yo twins and a 6 yo. I do morning workouts sporadically but they MUST be started no later than 5:15ish if I want an actually bath and clean face and moisturized face and decent hair afterwards. My normal workout time is midday so 2ish and if I can’t get it in then its right before dinner 5/6ish. I tried once going all in at 5 and I was like whoa...I am too tired for this. Funny how I had no problem hitting the gym at 5 before lockdown. So strange.
I have the same problem..every headband I wear within hours gives me a headache...ugggg Love your routine and its definitely something I've been wanting to do.Goo girl keep it up. I'm going to start working out early too. Your a great mom.God bless.
Really enjoyed watching this! I also homeschool 4 kids, but have recently started working Full-time, so it’s been a struggle for me to have a routine. You’ve inspired me to try harder. 💗
This is WAY different than your usual video style and I have to say that I LOVE it!! & we have tried almost all of the coffee blends from BRCC my fave is the Beyond Black!
Same. I can smell that bag in another room when my hubs opens it. It's one of my top 3 most favorite things bahaha. I tried the organic too. Nope. That Black is the ticket. Been on membership a year. I'm hooked!
Oh wow!!! I would have to go to bed at 8:45 to be able to get up on 5:45 in the morning. Yes that is 9 hours of sleep. I have found that any less than that and I am so cranky and irritable. This might be doable for me though. I am not a person who exercises and I was just told today by my doc that I better start. So I am gonna start.
Yay! Thank you. Gosh I need to do this. I know I would feel so much better. Thanks for the inspiration. I need to find a very beginner workout 😜 so far we are going for a walk together but I need to step it up and work on muscle mass. Thanks again.
Your DITL videos are definitely my favorite videos that you make. I do however enjoy the ones better when you talk to the camera versus the ones with the voice over. Just in case you wanted feedback. Keep on keepin on!
Loved it! Similar to mine, and it made me feel better to see it took about 3 hours. I want to start homeschool between 8:00-8:30, but it's usually more like 9 for us too! This helped me have more realistic expectations for what I want to accomplish in a given amount of time, plus my kids are younger and still need more help (7, 5, and just turned 2! 😜)
Definitely going to try your workout tomorrow!!! I want to get a new espresso machine and I'm going to look into yours. I remember when you got it. You look so good in stripes!! Your makeup caboodle is adorable!!! So motivating.. loved this video!!!
I'm definitely not a an early morning workout gal. And with our two newest babes I would have to get up at 5:15 to get a workout in 😬. Hoping they settle into a slightly later morning soon, then I can attempt this! I've missed working out, definitely helps qith my patience level for homeschool time
Great view of your morning, Ashlee! I work out first thing too, and YES! So hard to get my body moving and into a rigorous workout right after waking up! That book you’re reading looks so good! ❤️
I am so glad I came across this video! My family and I are leaning towards homeschooling and I have been on a fitness journey the last couple of months. I have been wanting to order the Armor of God study guide. We did go over it in one of our life groups but was wanting to study it at home with the guide.
You and your husband are so cute! We are up at 4am, that's our time together before hubs has to go to work. I do my work and anything else that needs to be done before the kids are up at 730. I'm thinking about switching to working out in the mornings versus in the evenings. I hope you know how much of an inspiration you are to so many!
Loved this so much! Can you link your Bible? Looks so nice...I'll have to check out that Bible study, too. It looks good. I'm almost ready to start a new one. :)
FYI: if you find yourself wanting to have your Bible study books to lay flat, Office Depot/Maxx can cut off spine and bind for less than $5. SO worth the cost to have an easier to use workbook. We started Armor of God and then the shutdown started.
I'm so jealous of you morning people! I just can't do it! Part of my problem, too, is that if I get up my birds will hear me and start screaming to be uncovered and let out. They are so loud they'll wake the entire house up! And my kiddos really need to sleep in until about 8 or it makes for a bad day for everyone! Haha! So, I have to hide in my room until I'm ready for everyone to wake up. Of course, the spoiled feathered babies don't say a WORD when my husband gets up to leave for work. It's only if they hear ME that they start screaming. I guess I've done that to myself! 🙄😂
Hi sweetie. Today I feel proud of me lol 😂. All mom’s complaining in Facebook because they got to have the kids in home🤭 I don’t have right now but I was have them before for two years. So for me it’s nothing from the other world 🌎 🤣🤣🤣
Do you have a link to your homeschool organizer you use on the table for the markers and colored pencils? It’s white. By the way, I love all your videos. I never watched RU-vid before I found your channel!
