Spent the day watching a lot of these types of video as I’m researching for an upcoming project… Have to say, the content of this video is really useful especially with the honesty of showing us cheaper alternatives to the flashy overpriced gear. If you would consider slowing down your speech delivery, it would be a benefit to a lot of people, I’m sure. 👌
Refreshing to see someone not raving about an overpriced grovemade shelf they were gifted. Only thing I'd say is the chair is worth the price of an upgrade. Probably the most important part of the setup when you consider your posture and health.
I get it’s not the best chair in the world but I still really like it and I do find it comfy, I might consider another chair in the future though if I can find one I like
Love this mate, the view you get from sat at your desk is amazing, perfect place to sit the desk for work. Also that butcher block style desktop looks so good, I’ve got the Karlby from ikea and installed it as a floating desk but it’s definitely showing signs of age and warping now. I did a recent video I did on it. Yours looks proper solid and substantial. You’ve got me thinking about upgrading my desk setup! Great work on the vid too, very aesthetic!
Thanks! Yeah, I’m lucky, the view is awesome! I really liked the Karlby countertop but I was just worried about the narrow depth of it. Although it was a bit pricier I’m definitely glad I got the desk that I did!
Cool setup, I have the same speakers and it is a great speakers for desktop. But I think your left speaker is actually your right speaker or you swapped them intentionally?
I had to swap them due to the cables/plants on the right side. As I tend to use headphones I wasn't too fussed about them being on the opposite side. I'll try and swap them round in the future but I didn't really want to mess with the cable management at the minute!
Nice video - sub earned! Prior to watching your video, I'd come to exactly the same conclusion about the flexispot and the wood desk seperately and have even been looking at the same supplier. Do you mind me asking, what was the cost of the wood and were the company good to deal with?
I’m glad you liked the video and thanks! The desktop was around £700 and then I got around £150 off due to an issue with delivery and customer service gave me a discount. The walnut wood rather than the american walnut is around £400. The website is a bit pricey but I’m really happy with it now that I’ve got it!
@@colinkilday interesting, I've been avoiding ANSI keyboards because I was worried the different Return key would bother me but I'm probably overthinking it. Thanks for the reply!
I've had this chair for over 3 years now and I'd definitely recommend it. It's not what I'd class an Ergonomic chair but it's really comfortable for sitting at a desk and it's not ridiculously expensive.
