I finally got into audiobooks when I realized I could increase the speed. I’m a 1.75 - 2.0 girl However, I can ONLY listen to nonfiction as audio- usually memoirs or comedy. Novels I still need to read with my eyeballs.

Great vlog…new subbie. I’m getting into reading and have been loving cozy mysteries as my fave genre. Reading is so relaxing and fun. For romances, My preference is light/no trauma/ no spice rom-com books..kinda like Hallmark channel style. Anyways great channel!

I listen to all my audiobooks at the original 1x - I'm really picky about how audiobooks are read so if it sounds even a little bit unnatural, I can't do it! I wish I could listen faster though!

My default speed is 1.75 for low stakes books like most romance, 1.5 for more complex books like nonfiction. But it does depend on how far I am int the story and what else is going on around me. My CR is set to 2.25 right now
