Hey, I am not Ruff, but I have a similar thing - trying to get out of this self-destructive hole. But I believe that we will succeed in it! So, this is how I'm gonna defeat it, hope they will be useful. But you know, I would recommend to you not to think about that, but simply go out in the first place. Nature - is a big source of energy that can clear up our minds from overwhelming doubts. It always works for me. But you can also do smth small or fun from your to-do list or just a hobby. Do it rn and don't think at all. Take a small break from your situation, shut the screams of unfinished problematic work, and focus on your simple task. And only then, when you feel ready to change your life a little, read this and take a thought. My uni classes are online now + they have a very chaotic schedule + I am preparing for an international exam to finally change my uni. As you can see, it's hard to do consistent work every day, so I just got unmotivated and started doing stupid addictive things, like watching RU-vid all day, and ect. It became a cycle of self-betrayal. My mind just decided "Oh. That's hard and complicated. I don't wanna do that. I'll pretend that I'm doing smth but actually, I will procrastinate" And that's the root. Junk food, staying home, and laziness are just symptoms of it. I just don't believe in the result and don't WANT it anymore. If I did, all these obstacles (complicated situations, stamina, etc.) wouldn't stop me at all. I would find a way how to do that. You should probably ask yourself "If you actually want what you trying to get? What would younger you say about your situation rn? Is the fear of complications more valuable than the joy you are gaining from the result and the process of doing the hard thing?" If your answer is no, I wanna do that! - focus on the positive state this thing brings, e.g. gym gives me the feeling of strength, muscle joy, and satisfaction. Believe in it. Believe, that you will achieve it. And with all these emotions look back to your problem, and try to solve it. Step by step, it will not be quick or easy. Just do it for the sake of your own happiness!💪💪💪 P.S. Long post, hope you get what I want to say! Xoxo
