When I used to bake with one of those counter top ovens, I found you should use a lower temperature because the outside will burn before the middle is done (like you experienced).

I think people don't realize that when others say "it gets better" they don't mean life magically becomes perfect, but that your emotions and thoughts become easier to manage and your life as a whole will propser because of it. I'm really proud of anyone that is able to overcome their mental, and emotional hurdles in order to live their best life because sometimes it feels impossible to do but we're all getting there! Thank you for always posting these peeks into your life for all of us, it's such a comfort knowing that everyone really does go through similar hardships and that we're not alone. :)

fs, when i worked as a mental health counselor, i started saying “it doesn’t necessarily get easier but you become stronger and more equipped to handle it,” and that seemed to get the message across a lot clearer for ppl who felt stuck in the dark! it’s so important to remember 🤍

i don't think you understand just how much you talking about mental health in this video just helped me. i have been struggeling with my mental health for a couple years now and i'm finally in a place where i can see some brightness in my life. when i discovered your videos they quickly became a part of my self care evenings. I already see you as a role model since it has been my dream for a long time to start my own business and have a youtube channel. knowing that you struggeled with the same thing i'm struggeling with just made me realise that i can achieve that dream so thank you Annika. You're so right about having a routine being so helpful with mental health. I'm getting so much better after I started at least trying to make one and actually your videos are part of my weekly routine now lol (I always watch them while having breakfast on mondays or tuesdays). Having something comfortable like that, I feel, just makes life a little more worth living, you know?

I have been in the same situation as you, i am in high school and had some major changes happen in my life, and it sent me into such a deep rut. But after scrolling through youtube, I found one of your videos. Clicked on it cause the colors were pretty, and i just, really enjoyed it. I binge watched all your videos that day, and i got some motivation and started cleaning my room. Congrats! I've been following you since you had 30k, and I remember showing all my friends your channel and saying that you were going to be "the next big thing" and I defintely haven't been dissapointed. I watch your vlogs almost as soon as they come out, and I remember watching your videos 2-3 years ago and you've grown so much and i've never been happier for some online creator. Congratulations on 1 million! 💖 Some friendly advice on your cake if you wanted to try again 😊 It looks like your oven was too high temperature. I always recommend baking “low and slow”. I’d also grease your tin a little more to stop it from sticking and you could also use baking parchment paper to line your tin so it doesn’t stick at all. The type of tin can also affect how your cake bakes, so something to note. Finally I’d try to whip in a bit more air into the batter to make it lovely and light 😊 Hope that helps. I know you didn’t ask for advice and may not try again, but thought I’d share a few friendly tips just in case 🥰

a tip for your next cake, when the frosting is done put it in the fridge, it,s be easier to apply and wont be as runny. as for the cake, if it means to put it in the fridge to cool it down, do it. everything will be easier after that :)
