I wish i knew about this 2 years ago. My now 15 year old struggled with math when we first put him in homeschool. This homeschooling though has taught him to think harder and find his own resources. He's doing much better now. Thank goodness because I am not so smart outside of your basic math. Now my youngest 2, we will definitely be checking out this teaching textbooks. They will bo homeschooled the whole time.
Great schedule to have for your day! I also like to make pen and paper lists! It’s satisfying to cross them off too! I have planner and then also make separate paper lists if I need them too! Your teaching textbooks part made me remember to check my daughter’s school app and saw she has some missing assignments so she’ll have to work on s weekend!
Julie love pen and paper! It's like writing it down plants it in the brain too! Kids need to know structure, participate in care of environment. Mom's do set the tone, you setting an example also helps to show them. Noone's saying perfect, just loving and working together!
This was a great video Julie. Ty. My kids are grown but I saw several of these tips that I want to try. I've never thought about a few of them. You are an amazing mom. Beautiful children.
Lol I just sat down to watch and relax and I get to your laundry part and remembered I need to fold my laundry!! Haha ok I will go do that now and watch the rest of the video while being productive! Definitely second the baby wrap…it’s a lifesaver! And you get to sort of workout while at it….in my opinion ;) May God bless you!
It's always interesting to hear how other large families keep organized and productive. I watch Jessica from "Three Rivers Homestead" and she literally plans the entire week out every week on paper, including the three daily meals, chores, big jobs, little jobs, you name it. I don't know how I'd do if I had a big family. I like being organized but it would drive me nuts to be too regimented.
Nice work Momma organizing the kiddos chores 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I wanted to ask about teaching textbooks online, can you start at a level and then switch as you complete, do you have to pay for each level for one kid? Thank you!
What a beautiful picture you have just painted for us! You are a proverbs 31 woman 🥰 You gave us such an honest look at your day to day life that is not without struggles sometimes. You simply plan for a win and there is always opportunity for growth. You are teaching your children to become responsible adults. I love you and your family so much!
Julie, I’m usually a quiet observer on social media, but really wanted to thank you for your honest and inspired mothering, homeschooling, homeschooling wisdom that I have gleaned from videos and blog posts like this one. We are very soon a family of seven, and these practical tips and affirmations (as some of them I do too like baby wearing or planning dinner in the morning!) were a comfort. Thank you for sharing your humble confidence with me. You show me what IS working, and that gives me hope, even within the challenges of the mundane but fulfilling life as an investor in the heart of the future, shaping and loving little humans and adding joy to the world. Blessings!
Love love love baby wearing! It just keeps them so calm and close, and keeps me as mama calm, cause I’m not always having to stop what I’m doing to check on them!
Hello thanks for All amazing awesome vlogs could I please say all your sons best amazing awesome big brothers ever and all your daughters best amazing awesome big sisters ever could I please be all your sons best friend ever and all your daughters best friend ever and all your family best friend ever
My husband had a grow room down in the basement of our old house. In this new home we don't have a grow room so i think he's going to utilize the attic that we are currently trying to redo. We have so much that we need to still get done. I understand your frustration. Kid's, things not working smoothly in the home. Lately i find myself having either cabin fever or mentally stressed about how we are currently living. Keep praying and trying so hard to keep a positive mind set instead of groping about something that's dysfunctional. I'm like you, i love getting up before everyone else and having that ME time and to be able to kick start my day without a little one under foot. Except these day's i find myself not wanting to get out of bed until my 11 month old wakes up and she's ALWAYS awake at 6:30 am. Seriously can't wait for the time change. We don't try to adjust our kid's to the time, so she should start sleeping in until 7:30 and I MIGHT be able to start getting my morning ME time again. ❤ Last baby and she sleeps the worst of them all. Go figure, I'm older, need more rest and she is my difficult child. Hahahahhaa, she does make me laugh every morning though, the way she shakes the railing of the bed. Her way of telling me to get up.
Oh friend I understand!! I have those days once in awhile where all the unfinished projects and the “need to do” lists really get to me. I have to remind myself that being “unfinished” is part of life and it is quite alright. Lots of self pep-talks going on here 😄
@@n.a.garciafamily Me too. 😫😥, Why LORD, why can't i have some me time? This morning i did get 30 minutes. Very grateful for it. I laugh because i have been a mom for almost 20 year's and my last baby just turned 1, and I know someday i will look back and laugh about how I wanted my me time and I'll be getting an abundance of it, wishing i had babies again. 🥰
Julie you are a special Kind of Person doing all you do for your family Evertt is so beautiful Julie you really are a blessing to me watching you God love and protect you all much love ❤️ Cathy 🙏🏻✝️☮️❤️💐🌹❤️🩹💘💕💗🌺💙💜🌷🍀🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So enjoy finding a video posted from yous. Watching Silas extending on texting math textbooks-seriously saw him in baby Everett now. Such a heart filling video, and agree momma Carrie’s a lot of the air in home of how others respond. Thank you for a great share
I’ve had some of those nursing camisole type shirts for a long time so I just wear them under any shirt. It makes it easy to lift a shirt for nursing but still stay modest. We’ve had slight jaundice issues before. To get rid of it I nursed them often and let them lay in their diaper near a window to get extra sunshine.
Everett definitely looks like a Kreke! And that's a good thing.Thank you MUCHLY for putting out one of your candle wicks! Takes longer for the body to regenerate post partum as one ages. Thank you for NOT pushing yourself and setting limits on yourself. Other wise, our loving Heavenly Father invokes Psalms 23:2 on us: "He makes me lie down in those green pastures..."👍👍
Thankyou! That was excellent and helpful especially your comment about keeping our attitude in check when we are frustrated by things our kids have done or their attitudes. Thankyou so much!!! 💓
I actually just hand drew it on a piece of paper (with colored markers) and then put it into a picture frame. The glass works great for dry erase markers.
i dont know if your area has it but some green houses are sponsored so you get a grant to help buy a green houses hope this helps i know you said you have one but just a thought hugssssss have a great weekend
Such great tips as usual. And suchs good reminders to keep my attitude in check, and to see every challenge with a child as an opportunity to help them grow. Love it! Thank you so much for sharing your wisdoms again, Julie 💖
Cindy I’m not sure what your recent comments have been implying… you have made many judgments, especially considering you have never met me. Perhaps you are projecting your own life disappointments onto me? I wouldn’t choose any other life than the one I have. Not many people can say that they are living their best life, so I am very thankful!
Precious family! Great tips Julie. You are doing an amazing job of keeping things organized and your kids are so helpful. Benjamin has melded in with the “big kids” but is still a baby himself. It is so sweet how they all look out for each other…even Benjamin with Everett.
Paper and pen are gold!!! I feel so good when I am able to physically cross off a task…it’s the little things 😂❤ your children are beautiful; little Everett fits right in ❤❤️❤️❤️❤️
We've used the good and the beautiful math since the beginning but my oldest is just starting the level 6 which is the highest math level they have and I'm planning to use teaching textbooks once he finishes what we have now. I never hear of teaching texts until one of your videos, but it definitely looks very helpful! I have four kids, but I think it'll be a great addition :)
You made using that wrap look SO effortless, I recently donated mine that ive had for two years & never used because I tried once & didnt figure it out ( super lazy moment )... got so used to the scrappy harness. You both look super comfy! My 7 week old is about 15 lbs now though idk if he's still considered newborn lol! Love & appreciate your content! ❤
I understand! I had a friend show me how to use it when I first had one, and then after she left I couldn’t remember how to do it again! They’re intimidating at first but so easy once you figure it out
I noticed the stainless cups on your countertop! I’ve been wanting to buy some but I’m more interested in buying Made in USA stainless. I tried buying what Berkey was selling but they’re not longer selling the cups. Do you remember where you guys found the ones you have?
Love your video, so inspirational! And all your children are precious. What kind of things does the methyl B12 vitamin help with? I’m wondering about this for a couple of my children…
I found out that we have an MTHFR gene mutation in our family (which is apparently relatively common) so supplementation with a methylated B vitamin is needed. It made a huge difference for us! Helped with some behavioral issues in certain kids and mentally helped me avoid depression. I also have easier pregnancies since I’ve started taking it! I take this one every morning amzn.to/3IU7RKU
We have 11 children and our youngest is Benjamin 😊 I love watching a mom of many and hearing her tricks and tips. God bless your family. We are a Missouri family here also.
I am a 70s kid, back then nobody in my country (Belgium) took vitamins, unless there was something very wrong with you (ie something showing up in bloodwork). It was that unheard of. These days it's all become so popular that you have to wonder, is it necessary if you have good food? I can understand say iron for a teen girl if needed but for the rest? Nope.
I do agree with you but I think there are a lot of factors at play. Soil today is more depleted than it was 50 years ago so our food is just not able to be as nutritious. This is one reason I’m trying to learn more about herbs and their nutritional benefits as a way to supplement what we’re not getting in our food. Also, our family has a genetic MTHFR gene mutation so that’s why I supplement the methylated B vitamins even though I don’t give them a general kid multivitamin.
Good job Julie! You are doing amazing ❤ I just find the days in general goes so fast! I have to write all kinds of things on my calendar otherwise I forget too.
My daughter does Teaching Textbooks math too. She really likes it. Love your chore chart, it's a helpful tool and one that kids can take care of themselves. 🥰
Everett is becoming a so cute handsome guy ! So adorable. Enjoy those precious moments… you know that your kids do not need extra vitamins, right ? Their own immune system needs to mature without too much external stimuli. Their food intake is way sufficient
We have an MTHFR gene mutation in the family which is why I supplement with methylated B vitamins. It made a huge difference when we started taking them! I was grateful to find that one out.
It makes sense and of course you are right. I was wondering why you were supplementing the kids. Thank you for sharing this information with me. Blessings to all of you
THAT LITTLE BENNY STILLS MY HEART EVERY TIME! ☺️ I can’t believe Everett is a month old already….time flies by!! Great way to look and plan a day by blocks of time….that way you don’t feel overwhelmed. We just take a block at a time. And YES our attitudes trickle down through the family and can affect the day SO much! Sending ❤️ and 🙏 to the Kreke Family! 🏡
