the problem with this interview is Mershiemer is to much of a gentleman who let Morgan talk total garbage over him .Mearshiemer should have told him the facts of when and what brought this war on and it was not the Russians who started it it started in 2014 when the nazis from Ukraine attacked the people of the Donbass killing over 20,000 of them that is why the Russians got involved and the professor knows this and I would bet Morgan knows this.

More than 10,000 civilians were killed only in Donetsk by Ukrainian military before Russian military operation. So we are talking of a similar number but in far smaller territory than the current conflict and purely civilians killed, without much military confrontation. Also he is saying that Ukranians want to fight. So why are men not allowed to exit Ukraine? Why are so many videos of military capturing civilians by force in the street? Why they canceled all elections in Ukraine? and then Russia is a dictatorship?? Mst of Ukrainians don't want to fight, and half of what was Ukraine wants to be part of Russia, they don't want to be in a country ruled by what they call "nationalists'. There are already millions of ex Ukrainians that moved to Russia already and millions that are in the new territories and had made Russian passport.
