Desire should be there but. Gautam Buddha taught us to control them. We Should watch our desires all the times. Thind Saab is Right on this one. Professor saab is little lost on this one because his desire of knowing everything controlled him. Desires are the Root cause of all unnecessary thoughts, Thought is creates Fear. Fear is the cause of all the conflicts and wars. We should watch our thoughts not control. Professor saab Gautam Buddha and Baba Nanak said about our Pains and sufferings. you should study only japuji sahib to know the Realty of our existence.

desires can not br vanished ,becouse desires are creation of God .no one kill god' s creation . water is coming down .you can not stop that water ,you can divert the direction of that water

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਹੈ ":- ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰ ਜਾਣੁ who's ever discipline his mind ,will come to know the secret of this life ਇਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖ਼ਵਾਹਿਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ , ਪਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ "ਵਿਗਾਸ" ਦੀ ਗਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ । ਖ਼ਵਾਹਿਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ :- ਘਾਲਿ ਖਾਇ ਕਿਛੁ ਹਥਹੁ ਦੇਇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ । ਤਾਂ ਹੀ "ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਾ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਗਾਸੁ" ਹੋਵੇਗਾ । ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰੋ, ਨਾਮ ਜਪੋ, ਵੰਡ ਛਕੋ ਦਾ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਦਿਤਾ ।
