"you should've reacted to the music video!" music videos often have a lot of moments where they're just focused on one of the artists for an elongated amount of time. so while it probably has the best overall execution of the vision, it does nothing in helping me see the actual dance performance.
i loved your reaction! if you want to see more clean and choreography-focused types of music videos, i recommend looking at ones titled “performance videos.” they focus mostly on choreo and are as clean cut as music videos
Loved your reaction but this song doesnt have an mv it has an official performance video with almost no close ups like the ine from dingo that you watched but still no matter what type of video it is, they literally snapped on HALA HALA
They literally have 8 Main Dancers! No cap! Also, props for noticing ATEEZ "Demon Line" right off the bat: Hongjoong - mullet guy, leader Seonghwa - blonde guy (my bias) San - guy who threw the hat, dance break center Their stage presence is really off the charts!
@@banan7308 this made me laugh out loud HAHAHAH there's no lie here though. Like the other members go hard but the demon line... need some holy water In a good way
can’t wait to see your reaction to this, im not an ateez stan, but i strongly believe they are one of the strongest, if not *the* strongest, dancers of their generation :) their energy on stage, especially san, is insane edit: it seems people (cough **jolie** cough) are fighting each other for no reason in the replies. i simply stated my opinion, as many others are doing so, but don’t attack others for stating an OPINION. i only stan one group, and that’s bts. i think they are also strong performers, but in a different way from ateez. don’t compare groups and say one is better than the other, because each group has their own vibe and shouldn’t be called an imitation of another. also, there’s a reason i said “their generation.” bts, got7, exo, etc are from a different generation, so why even bring them up smh. if you’re gonna bring up groups at all, respectfully ofc, bring in the right ones plz :) once again, who the strongest dancers are is just an opinion, so stop attacking each other omg edit 2: is it possible to delete someone from my replies 💀 its been over two weeks and they’re still here-
They are some of the best performers. A lot of people don't realize how much face, charisma, and energy makes the real difference between dancers that all possess technical skill.
ooooh I really wanted you to get into ateez a bit more because often people (antis/haters tbh) say they "overperform" but I'm not even sure if that's a thing so I'd love your opinion on this topic on a later video please 😊
@@EmeroyB thank you for answering! usually ateez go all out with the movements and facial expressions, it's a beautiful explosion of energy! one of the members, san (he was the center during the last chorus of hala hala) he usually goes all out and often he seems more intense than the rest so people think it's overperforming, but i just think that it's because his personal style of dancing is heavily influenced by popping and krumping. ateez trained in america before debuting (to see what they picked up from that training i suggest 3 short videos: "KQ fellaz performance video I, II and III" after debut until today they train with an actual dance crew called BB Trippin instead of just picking up the choreos from random choreographers, that's why they have a very consistent and distinct style of dancing!
@@luizamodestosilva SAN is my bias from Ateez, he has all my favorite qualities, the dancing skills, stage presence, charisma. AMAZING dancer/performer!
Dang, I swear Hala Hala is really underrated if you ask me. I can’t wait to see your reaction to this especially since this song’s videos were more focused on the choreography. Even the official video itself felt more like a performance video since it was all mostly just showing that one set of them dancing. There’s not much acting/set pieces where there was no dancing. They’re imo one of the if not the best dancers so I can’t wait to see the reaction of a professional dancer himself.
*Hongjoong* is the guy with the mullet, he's also the leasder and lead rapper, *Mingi* is the guy also a rapper and the 2nd tallest member in the group, *Seonghwa* is the guy with the blond hair and *San* is the one that did the smirk then killed us lol. But *ATEEZ* is a group to definitely *STAN* they are very unique and are strong performers
Their performances are insane. I've been into kpop for 12 years and I never watched fancams before ateez but I actually search for theirs. Because they all perform the song on their faces differently and hit their styles differently. Especially San. He is a beast with performances (I always recommend watching official fancams of this song because of San he literally is possessed) They're only a two year old group. They're very involved in the dance world and their choreographers and performance coaches are their backup dancers. (bb tripping) they have RU-vid videos of their versions as well. I'd really recommend Say My Name just for the dance practice alone it is hella hard hitting. They are dancers/performers over everything else and you can tell that. Thank you for reacting to them!!! And actually analyzing, a lot of dance reactors don't, which is fine but it's nice to see someone critique. also just saying, the performance video you watched btw isn't the typical one that is promoted or watched. The actual one is also a performance video but they all wear masks and so the focus really is on the performance and how well they can get across the energy to the camera. It's epic. Maybe check it out even on your own just because I need you to see it haha. For something else to react to, Taemin.
Ateez is one of the dopest Kpop groups out here. You NEED to react to their Dance Practice for their song Say My Name. Seriously one of the best choreos I've seen in Kpop.
PLEASE MORE ATEEZ!!!!! WONDERLAND (A MUST) Say My Name Pirate King (Their Debut) Win Horizon Ateez are probably ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMERS IN 4th GEN!!!! They are so amazing!!!
Ateez are one of the best performers of this generation. I don't watch live stages or fancams of other groups as much as I watch Ateez's even with my ultimate bias group (EXO). They are really good when it comes to dance.
yess this reaction was so good thanks so much!!! 18:53 is a mood ahaha Yeosang has a super intense gaze (in a good way) especially when he's wearing contacts. also mullet man in Hongjoong! and Seonghwa is the guy you said you were a fan of for his performance commitment. Ive seen Hala Hala live and they did not disappoint - the hype and energy they give to the crowd is insane and it was so clean and strong just like you said. Especially the end where San (red and black hair) is centre and the energy goes wild, that was really incredible live aha Also other Ateez performances you might wanna check out are: Thanxx, Say my name, Wonderland and Wave - but I find all of Ateez's choreos are interesting and unique so hopefully you'll like them!
Happy to see you noticed their insane performance skills because that's what they're most known for, the incredible energy they have to perform really hard choreography and go all out every single time
NGL i stayed up for the premiere but fell Asleep 30 minutes before LMAO. Loved this. Seonghwa (the eldest) is the blonde one you liked, and the one with the mullet is Hongjoong (the leader)
Thank you for this credible genuine input on Ateez. Please free to react to a lot of Ateez content. They are not only dancers, they are very much creative performances. I have never seen a group before all share incredible facial expressions. I never knew how important facial expressions are before ateez. Truly, best kind of performers. And please, if you like you can watch their fancams. Like San's or Seonghwa's wonderland, inception fancams etc to truly see how versatile their dancing style is and they are able to morphe and hence conform themselves to the song's emotions and dynamics! They are incredible.
I've watched your previous reactions to bts and exo and they are incredible and really show the experience and expertise they have accomplished since they started ~7 years ago, for ateez what still amaze me is the fact that they release this song like 2 months after debut and already had so much presence and power, if they were like this months after debut imagine what they could do in the future. Also love your reactions and analysis to the choreos 💕💕💕
ATEEZ is known for their powerful performances, thank you for reacting to them! I'd love for to react to more of them.. maybe ATEEZ Win or ATEEZ Thanxx
I was looking forward to this because I really think ATEEZ has a very special ability to perform. Particularly their commitment to their expressions as you mentioned. I don't think they are scared to look a bit intense or ugly or scary in the way a lot of idols are. I think part of it is the concept, but they also just SELL it IMO. I'm glad you were able to pick up on that. I really enjoyed the format of your analysis as well and I look forward to more! You had great attention to detail and I think I picked up on a lot of things I didn't see before and it's been almost 2 years since I first saw this haha.
it’s almost 2 years of hala hala but i genuinely always got goosebumps every time i see their performance, thankyou for the reaction i really appreciated it❤️ btw the blonde guy u picked as a fav is the one in my profile pict, he’s Park Seonghwa
I’m so glad I found your channel, in time to see your first analysis of Ateez, I used to dance (ballet) and adore these boys but couldn’t, for the life of me, articulate what it was that grabbed my attention. You gave me the words I needed. Thank you.
As someone with no dance background I really appreciate that you point out all the small details I would have never seen. Also I recommend watching the Hala Hala Offical MV (Performance ver.) on Ateez offical channel KQ. Only there the whole concept comes together. The one from Dingo you just watched is good but missing some really important details from the actual plot. The atmosphere in the original MV just can not be topped!
They are shy babies when not performing but they are considered "demons" on stage. Fan or not, you'll be captivated by their facial expressions every single time they perform. My neck and back hurts everytime San goes all out😆
all the people i have seen reacting to ateez fell in love with their energy and strong presence, i mean they are that group that breaks the stage everytime the perform and anyone can't say otherwise stan ateez
Enjoyed watching this a lot! One of the main things that I think makes Ateez stand out from other Kpop groups is in fact they're performance level. They perform with their whole body AND their whole face!! Their facial expressions are amazing! It's something I see and hear from many people that watch/react to Ateez :) Ateez really deserves all the recognition, such a talented bunch of people 💙
I am totally not shocked that you love Seonghwa’s commitment. HALA HALA is HIS song. He kills in it. And yeah...San wilds when the choreo gets fun, no matter the song. You should watch the actual music video. Just makes it even better. Ateez is a performance group and are very well rounded. When it comes to how they perform, I don’t know any group that matches them on stage. You should also check out Inception, Thanxx, Say My Name and Wonderland.
Thank you so much for reacting to them! Ateez is only 2 years into their careers (although Hala Hala was about 3 months into their careers) but they’re still quite under appreciated in Korea but it honors me that you heard about them enough to take some time to listen and watch them. It means a lot. Thank you!
I'm actually a new Atiny (fandom name) and I really do think their performances are on another level especially considering that they're rookies or a relatively new group. I learned that they trained dance in the US before they made a debut in Korea and have a strong international fans coz of their dance performance/covers before their debut.
Taemin of SHINee and SuperM just chewed up and spit out the entire Kpop industry with his newest MV, "Idea." He literally just reinvented Kpop; something only he could do. The choreo is INSANE. I hope you will react to it and not miss out on this iconic moment!
I definitely loved the reaction!!! They are amazing and they all go overboard and it's awesome. I recommend you the performance and dance practice of Wonderland by Ateez as well... Bless ya!
ateez have some of the best choreo in the biz in terms of telling the story of the music and putting on a show. maybe not all those tiny technical details or being perfectly in sync all the time but their dance has emotion and swagger! always fun to watch them!
you definitely have to check out taemin! he’s known to be one of the best kpop dancers. he’s a solo artist as well as in a group called shinee and in superm too. I would recommend sayonara hitori where he and the choreographer koharu sugawara dance together but if you want something newer criminal would be great too. (another recommendation is ten from nct)
ateez is beyond amazing at charisma, choreography, facial expression. they are definitely one of the *best* if not the best performers in kpop, in my opinion. Stan ateez, Stan talent!
You should watch their mv for an even darker vibe and intensity. Their outfits and accessories will give you chills. And the added background dancers really make that V marching formation give you goosebumps !
its mind-boggling to me how their more circular formation becomes a hallway one and then pyramid so smoothly, the way they maintain the precise distance to each other so precisely they seem like a single unit, like those fish that travel in packs and make those shapes in finding nemo? like that, some freaky stuff o_o
I’m so glad I found your channel! Any Ateez performance and practice videos are amazing! They’re so underrated but they’re talented dancers and singers. They’ve only been around for 2 years which is insane cause this is not rookie behavior 😭 I’m so incredibly proud of them and it makes me happy when professionals appreciate their hard work!
this was so good!!! thanks for the in depth reaction. tbh it's worth seeing what they're like live too, that guy who threw the hat sometimes just SHOUTS their group or fan name when that last part hits during a live performance, he's really committed to making that as intense as possible even when they were just going on tv games to promote the song.
they are my favorite performer group. they are always putting so much energy in every performances and its not boring. pls react to say my name by ateez next
Just to let you know, it's called a practice or a rehearsal but usually groups put a lot of effort into these particular ones that will get uploaded for the fans to see. In the beginning, pretty much no K-pop groups did dance rehearsals. SHINee, an iconic K-pop group who shaped the dance aspect of K-pop and have been in the industry for 12 years, did a dance practice of their debut song that really was just their practice and fans loved it. You can find it here on RU-vid, it's the original 'Replay' dance practice. But doing dance practices really blew up when SHINee did the iconic Lucifer dance practice, and after that dance practices grew and groups began to take them more seriously too, almost like a competition of the coolest dance practice. So now it's like tradition to do a dance practice of title tracks soon after they are released :) I don't think you needed a history on K-pop dance practices but I just think it's cool!
Yeah! Super cool and I love seeing breakdowns-- Hala Hala does have a cleaner Performance Video that shows more of the choreo if you wanted to check it out in your free time, and it's actually shot at a higher frame rate so a lot of the moves are cleaner and easier to see. They also typically perform this song with background dancers and the chorus part has a whole different impact to it with them. I'm glad you checked them out! Their performances are always top notch
You know what I think watching the performance first would be even better because you could watch at how they intended with all the props and then it would be fun to discover movements and steps that you didn’t get to see the first time 👌🏼
This is the song that made me a fan! They're incredible. The charisma, the energy, the music, the choreo. I do always wonder, are these up/down movements and knee slides going to be possible when they're the age of the 2nd gen idols, 30s? I'm 28 and my knees could n e v e r.
If you are looking for perfection watch Seventeen's choreography. You can literally choose anyone. But if you're for technicality, formations, isolations, and all the stuff, watch Thanks, or Don't Wanna Cry or Home, or Getting Closer or Call Call Call. or Hit or Fear. Or just watch them all. They're by Seventeen. Please watch you will not be disappointed. In fact, you will probably be blown away. They are factually the most synchronized group in kpop (up to 95%). So just watch them. Thank you.
Thanks so much! for the reaction of ATEEZ! It's so amazing that you explained it in a professional and very detailed way! Love it! ATEEZ are really amazing dancers~^^ Hope you enjoy it and also looking forward to more reaction for them.
the guy you said you're a fan of at 18:38 is seonghwa! he ALWAYS ALWAYS has his facial expressions on point, i genuinely challenge you to find even ONE stage where he doesn't look 150% into the performance. honestly dk how he does it, he's amazing
I really enjoy your reaction abt them! pls, do more reaction about ATEEZ because most of their performance is insane and you'll like it! Also react to their sidetrack songs performance such as horizon, win, and good Lil boy.
Ateez is so good especially in the dance/performance aspect . Wonderland and Say my name are more of their songs you should check out. Another group you should check out is SEVENTEEN. They are a 13 member group so you can see how they do formations and use a larger number of people in the choreographies. Overall they have 3 sub units :hip hop, vocal and performance
First time seeing your videos, and I already love your reactions. As a dancer myself, I was so happy that your commentary was super similar to what I thought of when I first saw ATEEZ. I also loved seeing your own insight on their choreography that I never thought of. ATEEZ is probably the only ever K-Pop group that I really took a special interest in (mainly due to their super unique performance prowess and their strength in dancing as well as their artistry within their concepts) so I'm definitely looking forward to more of your videos on them.
also, idk if you also do individual analysis type of videos buT you could keep an eye on San (the one going off at the last chorus), he's known for being one of the most intense performers of this generation and his fancams are truly out of this world!
There's a more official performance MV for this too. This one is good, but the other is better. They actually wear masks throughout it. The visuals are pretty cool.
the legend precedes them, that some kid called San achieving dancing mastery through demonic possession v_v its not until one sees it with one's own eyes that thea ccuracy of the description really kicks in
