So many were ready to write off NCT Dream when they debuted because they thought Chewing Gum was too cutesy, but I thought it was a perfect way for them to start their career. They were young and the song and choreo showed it. Chewing Gum is young, fresh, and perfectly showed off what the kids could do. They've grown so much for these 6 years and Chewing Gum was the start of it all.
The fact that the hoverboards were added last minute yet they still crushed it speaks to the amount of talent Dream has. This was a great debut for them. Even when they perform it now, its not very cringy but very nostalgic for fans.
When you take into account their ages when Chewing Gum came out (Mark was 17 and Jisung was only 14), it makes this chereo even more amazing! Also, Chenle only had 2 months of dance training before debuting with this chereo, which is totally insane!
Everytime I see the chewing gum choreo I get nervous, I myself have ridden a hoverboard and its so easy to fall off or go to fast, cant imagine how they dance on them 🥲
How difficult do you think it is to become an artist in SM? How hard did SM train to get an artist? Look at nct dream kids they can sing and dance on hoverboards. and they must make it possible for everyone. It's not easy just the beginning of the debut They did something that was beyond the limit.😊👍🏻
Chewing Gum is still such a BOP, like it didn't need to go hard but it did & it was still cute?? The Dreamies were very talented with hoverboards (had the same reaction to the name dw) & Jaemin (the one who spins 8 times @9:12) was a speedskater, there's videos of them just doing things on hoverboards like handstands & stuff & it was so natural for them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SK9WtjG6wx0.html
