In all honesty, I’ve just come from Trisha’s most recent episode and was so impressed by her interviewing skills that I was moved to leave a comment full of praise so, to then come from that video to this, with peace and love, the contrast is kind of glaring. I totally respect you have completely different styles and that’s cool, I genuinely love your show and think it gets better all the time as you’re settling into it and developing your ideas, but I just think that a little more focus on the guest, what they have to say and letting them finish their stories rather than being easily distracted and jumping around all over the place until the thread of the original story is lost so we never hear the end, would be hugely beneficial in your interview technique and really allow you to get the most out of your great guests.

I’ve never commented so much on one video but I just have to say, all great movie recommendations! Requiem For A Dream is an absolute gem, one of my favourite movies of all time but definitely doesn’t get enough love, nobody I’ve ever mentioned it to has even heard of it. It has the same gritty realism as Trainspotting but is so much more bleak and gut wrenching, to the point of being hard to watch in some parts, heartbreaking in others, but so worth it! Jared Leto, Marlon Wayans, Jennifer Connelly, and Ellen Burstyn are all at their absolute best with their performances, and the score is so well done, with the same song playing almost constantly throughout the film but produced to fit each scene perfectly. I just can’t praise it enough, I don’t have the words to adequately describe why everyone should see this film! The book it’s based on is also great but unfortunately I’ve lost the ability to read well in recent years so I’ve never managed to finish it.
