For the Messenger 160: Hello. I have this Bag and consider important to say this 3 "hacks" (and there must be more because this bag is so versatile) that I discover are very nice to this amazing Messenger Bag: 1- The most amazing to me. The bag strap can be fixed 2 DIFFERENT ways, like a Laptop bag and the other way where he tilts to the interior in the direction of your body. If you change ONLY ONE of them to the "laptop mode" position the one on the RIGHT SIDE of the bag facing to you the bag will fit perfect in your body even in low positions and almost dispensing you from using the auxiliar strap. 2- We can use the many "protactic" bag inserts on the outside to leave tour heavy telephoto lens hanging from the lens shoe (with some care and always holding her with one hand while walking). 3- Harder to explain but if we want to use "fat" fast lenses but still want to keep the 5 openings in the main compartment we can "steal" some space from the outside of that compartment by lowering the outside end parts and leaving them slightly loose in the bottom. I've had a ProTactic 350 AWII for two years and traveled extensively with it on airlines throughout the USA and it is amazing. Especially for users of mirrorless systems. I carry a Leica Q, 2 M Leica bodies and three lenses with chargers. Still have room for a book and a few small items. Been all over the lower 48 and Alaska on all sizes of planes and it fits the overheads or under the seat. perfect!
I really like Lowe products. They always seem to be thought throu in all the details and are well engineered. And it seems that this company is actually listening to their customers. To me it's alright if good quality comes with it's price tag regarding that who buys cheap buys twice. The above line up is really phantastic because it gives us so many options to create our carry systems just as we individually need it. Even the tactical belt had been re-thought. Congratulations Lowe! Well done.

The 450 was the one-to-fit all bag I’ve been looking for. Fits my Sony a7iii + sigma 35mm f1.4 + Sony 200-600mm + tamron 70-180mm + tamron 75-28mm + tamron 17-28mm + Sony 50mm f1.8 & all my filters / laptop & tripod. It’s also very comfortable. If you’re contemplating getting it I definitely recommend!
Have you travelled with this setup? Specifically airline travel? I'm very curious.. the 350 AWII will do just fine but if possible I'd prefer the 450 AWII.
hey...im planning on getting lowepro protactic bp 350 aw ii and i use Nikon D750 with 200 to 500mm...do u think d750 with 200 500mm attached would fit in that bag?
I have both 350 and new 450 , i set the inner to fit a d850 and 200-500 lens but doing so made the inners floppy losing the bags rigidity , ((enter unused temba axis 32l)) i borrowed the temba dividers theyre super rigid super padded dividers and fixed my lowepro's internal integrity by stiffening everything back up , lowepro smaller dividers are to floppy to offer any integral support ,
I have been looking for a bag and the Protactic would be perfect if it had a 17” laptop carry… a tablet sleeve would be a great idea too! Guess I’ll just have to keep looking though
Having done some research, it's clear the 350 AWII is airline carry-on friendly, but there seem to be some mixed signals about the 450 AWII. I would absolutely go for the 450 but I really do not want to have to check it in. According to the internationally accepted dimensions for cabin baggage, the 450 will not work but some people claim it does? If someone could provide clarity on this, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

I just got the lowepro protatic messenger, MG 160. I like it but in Gen 2 I'd love to see the MOLLE (aka the webbing as they call it lol) on the face of the bag and not just on the sides so I can add a pouch to the front if I want.
Are the narrow webbing compatible with MOLLE? Also, any chance of adding some kind of snap on clips, or just loop at the two back corners of the side access. KATA had such a design to provide a last line of safety in case the zippers on the side access fails.
What is the best replacement for the old and brilliant Mini Trekker AW? I particulary want a bag of that size that isn't a hard shell. I don't want a bag that stays at its maximum size when the bag is half empty

Will there be a larger version of the new ProTactic BP? 300 fits a 70-200 but I need to pack a 100-400 or 200-600. :) I like the look and options on it though.

I ordered a new Lowepro Nova 170 AW II bag a few days ago. I am disappointed with the build quality. The bags I bought from Lowepro about 13 years ago were better made.
Damn that 300 a whole lot uglier than the beautiful 350. Why can't you guys keep the look, make it fit a 15" laptop and give it a strap to lie horizontally on a carry-on roller suitcase and it would be perfect. But the ugly plastic clips with straps running all the way down the outside, yeah that just lost all its style points. No thanks.
