Good video as a Adidas guy I've always wondered what the difference between the SL20 and the RC was, I have the SL20 maybe I'll pick up the RC now. 👨🏿🦲⚒💪🏿
Hi there! How do the Takumi Sen 6s compare with the RC 2.0s? I'm planning on buying a fast shoe instead of my Nike Streak 7s, they are starting to get old. I would use them for under 3:20/km pace, which one is better? (~5:20 mile pace) Which one should I choose? Or maybe stick with the streaks? I didn't like the Streak LTs, so.... 😀
I'm currently in the Nike Pegasus 37, but I really find the Adidas flats appealing, they seem very well done and there are multiple different ones which is cool. I still have a pair of Adidas Aerobounce PR training flats, and I love them, I feel like the lightstrike foam will be similar in feel to the bounce cushion in my current shoes, so I'm very excited to get in a pair of them coming up this year 🔥
Would love to try some of these, they look amazing but I can never get them in a UK 13 / US 14... only ever adidas and Reebok that i struggle with! Put in a good word with your adidas rep to make some bigger sizes 😉
For mine for like $100 I think all the cheaper colors weren't available in my size. Great shoe for faster efforts or track work. I think I'm going to order the RC and the Boston 9s next.
I would love to see a gear review. Especially a review of your guys favorites for different types of workouts and such. I always find it difficult to get some good socks, so start there. Great Content!
I did that a year ago and injured my knees. Then I started getting different shoes for different purposes and doing most of my base runs in Cliftons and it helped a lot.
Good info. I was considering the Takumi Sen but seldom run track, and it seemed like a track oriented outsole that might feel odd on other surfaces. I'll stick with the SL20 for tempo runs on my usual mixed terrain.
i really enjoyed this vid, subbed already. which shoe should i choose to compete i run 3k, 5k (18:30pb)and 10k(41:10pb) 61kg. Theres a good adizero pro sale on my country, would i benefit from this shoe for competitions? Also i do sprint triathlons, which shoes are easier to put on (for the Bike to Run transition)?
Great overview. My big issue with adidas adizero running line up is that they don't cater for runners with large feet. So the longest size is always UK 12.5/US 13 which often isn't quite long enough for me especially as adidas often notoriously come up short. Nike, Saucony, New Balance all go up much longer to UK 14/US 15 and so I often have had to "defect". Any idea why that is? I see adidas do larger sizes in say the Solar Glide, Ultra Boost (of course!), trail shoes and even track spikes so not sure what they think us bigger feet runners use on faster days on the road?
I think some of them do. If you watch earlier videos, you’ll notice Drew and others wore adizero Boston 8 for longer runs. Also saw Brian wore adios 3 and Syd wore the adios 5 not too long ago
I got a Supernova aktiv for the everyday trainer model, pure boost go as an alternative but the outsoles wear out pretty quick, I copped the Alphaboost on sale on adidas.ph but were too hard for the dual density boost. My most recent acquisition is the SL20 and am still waiting for them to warm-up my run.
Just want to ask guys.....im new in a running world....but its not my first time though....i bought SL20 coz i thought it could give me comfy for my feet coz so many runners says it a good shoes for training.....but for me i just do it once week for 10K....first run was great & fast shoes....very very light...but my 2nd long run it wasnt comfy anymore....it hurts my ankle sprain in both side of my feet...so guys what you think? is it normal? what should i do with it to not hurt my feet????
How many miles do you usually put on the Takumi Sen/RC 2 before you retire them? I'd assume its less than daily trainers but I don't really know how many.
I use a pair of of nike zoom fly 3’s for my tempo-fast rep workouts, which one of these shoes could equate to the zoom fly’s? Might consider switching over from Nike to adidas
None really compares to the ZF3, but there's the Adizero Pro which is also a "carbon-plated trainer" that Adidas has in their lineup. However, the stake high and feel is very different from the Zoom Fly's.
