I travel a lot and love to play basketball while traveling, Philippines is my favorite country to travel to and play basketball! there are always pick up games going on everywhere! and Philippine people are some of the nicest people I ever met
I was getting a bit annoyed that defense they played was predicated on stopping a move instead of stopping me from getting a basket. So I was telling them, you have to play basketball. Not just play to not get shook. Like a player won’t get far if they’re cool with getting beat 5-0 but not cool with getting crossed once.
I’m so grateful that you take the time to go to places like the Philippines and encourage those young people. You’re a blessing to basketball and a role model for many around the world. Well be in the Philippines in two weeks at our condo. I’m not a basketball player but I love people and some of the best I’ve ever met are in the Philippines blessings to you. One thing I can promise you is you can go to the deepest jungles in the Philippines and you will find a basketball hoop. It might be made from an old bicycle wheel rim and nailed to a palm tree but you will find them everywhere

Philippines is basketball mad. I've been there myself quite a few times. I even managed to play in a local game in a town in Bohol, indoor gym concrete floor with a massive ceiling fan slowly spinning above the court. I'm just a very average player skill wise, okay jump shooter but it was a great experience. I will do it again for sure in the future.

Im from the Philippines yes the defense is trash technically annoyed but i think theyre all having fun which is the most important. no trashtalking no unecessary contact just pure basketball 👍🏀 Godbless you prof

HoC Drousson that’s how I view it. Like many people have me confused. The way I play works and is legal anywhere. I don’t have separate rules from regular basketball. A lot of people think I just carry and play my own set of rules but that’s not how I view things nor the truth. I’ve never not played anywhere that my moves weren’t legal nor effective. That’s 40 countries in and a ton of different leagues. If I have moves that are debatable carries then that’s what they are, simply ‘debateable’. I’m not an advocate for carrying the basketball or pulling off obvious carry moves. With And1 in the early 2000’s that was different. That’s what was hot and everyone rolled with it. It’s a different day these days
A carry is a carry hitting somebody with the ball in their face is a tehnical in streetball you can get away with lots of fouls and with carries in real ball that doesn't happen
