I don’t think I’ve ever seen Roger get that emotional over a game announcement that wasn’t related to Smash Bros. What a reaction!

Roger I hope you read this, you are not the only one. Professor Layton has been a part of my childhood since I was 8 and pretty much shaped my love for all video games and music. I am also beyond ecstatic that the professor is coming back and I'm so happy that there is someone on this platform who can display just how much this series means to us. Here's to this game and the whole series getting the attention it deserves :)

I like how they just expected us to be calm after revealing Professor Layton and then expecting us to lose our shit over Mario Kart, cause for many the opposite happened. For me it was just instant adrenaline rushes that made me lose it.

the layton teaser trailer almost made me tear up im gonna get this day 1 when it comes out i started playing this on the ds for curious village/diabolical box on one christmas a while back and felled in love with the games and the anime too so happy that he came back

This is one of my favorite Game series of all time. I just love professor Layton, played every game 100% multiple times and really nearly cried, such a throwback to good old childhood days 🙏🏼

Layton is the real 'it's impossible!' The company itself wasn't doing well, they literally said they were done with the good professor, etc. Compared to him Banjo-Kazooi was more implausible but not impossible.

I'm sure I read somewhere they they were done with the Prof. Layton games at one point, weren't they? That would explain why so many people were so happy about this announcement.

Professor Layton was my entire childhood and I had the EXACT same reaction. I didn't see Nintendo direct live, I saw the trailer pop up when I was listening to music and was in utter disbelief and ran to tell my also puzzle loving mom about it. I think some people don't know, but the puzzle master for the Professor Layton has already passed away which was Dr. Akira Tago. It was for certain that the series was gonna end at his death because Tago was creating the puzzles for the game (adding to it that he's a psychologist, making some puzzles hard), but seeing this new game of Layton, I hope they give respect to the late doctor and not ruin the Layton series as a whole.

When something I like is announced I usually search for reactions to it and this is probably the best reaction I have ever seen!

I’m still surprised that the only thing in this direct to get me to react at all was freaking Professor Layton. After all these years of thinking to series is dead, it’s come back yet again. I can’t freaking wait. Well that and ghost trick but I’m more excited for more people discovering that game for the first time more than anything else.

i found this by random, but im so happy for him because the layton games have always been something ive wanted to play, Im so happy to see all this Level 5 activity in general as Fantasy Life was also an important game to me. But also, this was my exact reaction to We ♡ Katamari Reroll. I was on call with friends and i literally started sobbing because the series, and We ♡ Katamari specifically, got me through so many tough years in my childhood + teen years. It's what got me and my sister to have things to look forward to every day after school, working together to finish the million roses level. We ♡ Katamari is one of the core tenets of media that has shaped my life. But i wanted to bring this back around again to say this reaction was pure joy and I gotta kick myself into gear to play the Layton games now because im genuinely excited for this, I love seeing a beloved franchise come back, even if I'm outside looking in.

The last 5 minutes were a good presentation for Level-5 games they announced Dekapolice, fantasy life, and professor Layton I love their games not never played Layton but I love inazuma eleven, and LBX yokai watch was ok not the biggest fan of it megaton Musashi looked fun but they changed a lot of the initial gameplay trailers and it's japan only so that's dead but this seems like a good new start for level-5. Also, nino kuni was good haven't finished the second one tho

Not many that know Professor Layton. But the ones that do, always have a story to tell. I played the games as a kid and Layton was what me into anime from the phoenix weight cross over. From there it’s introduce me to voice acting, animation, so many communities I would never interacted with if I hadn’t decided to pick up the game.
