New episode fight scene. Magneto kills Wolverine when Charles Xavier, Cyclops, Logan fights him. Jubilee VS Roberto, Wolverine stabs Magneto and Magnus crushing Logan adamantium claw. #marvel #magneto #xmen97
It's not wolverines death scene. It's a classic moment in 90s xmen history where Magento rips the adamantium from wolverine body. He survives it and has to deal with having only bone claws for a time until he regains the adamantium again.
@@sketch_0193who said this lol? And its funny you say this because this is what readers back then thought and the characters within the story thought…until Wolverine’s bone claws popped out when X team was returning back to Earth after this close battle.
@ToySouljah. The original run of this show established/said this. He had bone claws in the comics, so he may spawn bone claws in response to what just happened but in the original run of this show, which this series serves as a sequel to... The claws are implants. There was an entire flashback episode of Logan working alongside captain America in WW2 where he does utilise a set of claws for the mission. But their climbing tools.. Plus the episode which takes place on Sinister's island where they can't use their powers. Wolverine pops his claws... "There's nothing mutant about these!"
@@darkcloudXIV I have a feeling it will be a hard reset on several things... definately timetravel will be involved, and likely onslaught just BODYING EVERYONE in a way that none could easily fathom. like i imagine onslaught just being something even sinister or bastion was not anticipating. his vision of the future likely did not consider charles becoming onslaught. just that moment of suddenly... CRIPPLING psychic trauma... like everyones mind was instantly read... every soul judged... and onslaught culling everyone who he feels is deserving... which in his vulnerable and stressed state... is a lot of people. it starts with villains... but then it doesn't stop... magnus watching in absolute horror as he realises... charles has snapped.
first, yes and second, they literally said that if they do not fix the poles quickly the world would begin to have irreversible changes, which seeing ultimatum is not difficult to imagine
@@jonathanphillips3052 Damn I remember when Onslaught was the final boss of Marvel vs Capcom clash of super heroes one of the most pain in the butt bosses.
You young ass kids. In Fatal Attractions Xavier states point blank that Wolverine would have died instantly but he and Jean used their powers to force his vitals to stay on and his body to not die, while telepathically preventing his brain from being able to process how much damage he had just suffered. Xavier also says that even discounting the incomparable physical damage of having adamantium ripped out through his pores on a molecular level, if Wolverine's brain wasn't prevented from processing what had happened, that also would have just killed him instantly. One of the few instances in Xmen history where his healing factor was totally overloaded
I never imagined they’d actually animate Wolverine’s skeleton being ripped out. This show keeps on surprising me. I wonder if Rogue is going to feel responsible
This is Fatal Attractions. Wolverine didn’t die from the comic book version of this, I can’t imagine they’ll kill him in this iteration. This is where they found out that his claws had bones in them and that they were a part of him all along.
True, but if I am remembering this show's original run correctly. This Logan doesn't have bone claws. His claws are pure adamantium implants in this universe. An episode in the original run featured Logan working with Cap. America in WW2 and he was using claws but they were climbing tools...which he wouldn't need if he had natural claws.
@@blackalphagaming8010 Bro, I am going off what the animated series established. Which this season is a continuation of. He may still get bone claws but due to what they established. They will have to be treated as a new thing for this Logan as, by their own TV lore. He didn't always have them. Stop acting like a know anything? This series first aired in 1992. Bone claws were not introduced in the comics until a year later in 1993 haha. So this logan doesn't have them ..yet. Watch the original show.
Wolverine was set on killing Magneto. Magneto responded accordingly. Magneto held back for all these years fighting Wolverine and knowingly he was the most vulnerable X-Man to his power over magnetism.
@@tundrazzr3659 Good point. Magneto and Xavier are long time friends. Despite their disagreements, they respect each other. Magneto simply disabled Xavier from using his psi powers by magnetically placing his psi-shielded helmet over Xavier's head. In fact, during Xavier's so-called death, Xavier trusted Magneto to lead the X-Men and he bequeathed Magneto with his assets and the X-Mansion.
@@NoMustang273 You seriously think a planet with Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Reed Richards can’t survive a global EMP? The lights will be back on in a week, month tops. And bastion may be alive but now everyone has the opportunity to track them down and take him out.
@@thomascochran7907 I mean sure yeah...but the story obviously isn't treating it like that. Otherwise they wouldn't need to hatch up a plan to take over Magneto and use him to fix the planet's magnetic field. This is the issue with X-Men stories that have world ending stakes but also have Avengers and everyone else in it. They should really logically be with them right now...but they're not because it's a X-Men story.
Onslaught is the actual change of pace that x men SEVERELY need. Onslaught came with so much potential and took multiple marvel characters to bring him down.
No disney has no part in this is just marvel studios picking up a old classic Disney didn’t touch Spiderman no way home either marvel has its boundaries
facts lol this was a mistake logan is like a loyalt inmortal dog charles love him in the same way you love your dog magneto make a big mistake charle is going to go nuclear after this
"You didn't just pull my memories of the holocaust from my head, you had the entire thing on standby!?" "... Pretty much." "The fuck is wrong with you?"
Prof. X already did that in episode two of the original series in the 90's. It showed he was psychologically worse than Magneto. Prof. X also scolded Wolverine when Sabretooth was about to lose to Wolverine, then Sabretooth took advantage of it and almost killed Wolverine. Prof. X constantly viewed, that his ideology had the moral high ground even though he was the cause of the problems, due to his ideology.
In some ways, I’d love to have not known about the Adamantium extraction in the 90s. This was probably such a scary cliffhanger for those who didn’t know and thought he died
@@alexanderplatypus3664 Right? They are following the comics. But if we've learned anything from Xmen 97, they are willing to break away from the comic and kill people off. So most likely Wolverine will be ok, but no guarantee
I mean, if the adamantium overlays on his bones, wouldn't his skeleton rip out of his flesh with the adamantium? Even Wolverine's healing abilities doesn't seem it could recover from that.
Ahh you young kids... I have the issue. Afterwards Xavier says that Wolverine would have virtually died instantly. They make a quick escape and on the flight back to Earth both Jean and Xavier need to use their powers to keep him alive by forcing his vitals to stay on and telepathically preventing his brain from understanding and processing how much damage he just suffered. Wolverine's healing factor is powerful as hell but this is one of the few instances in Xmen history where enough damage was done to totally overload his healing factor. He had adamantium, the strongest metal on Earth, ripped out of his body through his pores on a molecular level
1:28 Magneto: "OH NO! NOT AGAIN!" Getting de ja vu of Magneto being mind blown by Xavier in X-Men The Animated Series. He had a helmet at the time there.
For people who said "Magneto was right", congratulation. This is exactly what Bastion want. You fight fire with fire, in the end everyone end up burned.
@@alexanderplatypus3664 No, he is not. He is just a genocidal maniac who want to prove he is right by doing the wrong things. Just because you suffer doesn't mean innocent people has to suffer too.
He's not wrong about humans, just wrong about what to DO about humans. Kill the planet, live on an asteroid, what do you have in 30 years? When he dies, the asteroid fails and then mutants join humanity in the grave. There's no path forward for him
if its based on the comics, Magneto should go into a vegetative state after a full psychic attack from Professor X then the X-Men will team-up with the Avengers and fight Exodus
@@sketch_0193 Continuities are not "static" in the world of fiction. If they want him to have bone claws then he will have them. It's pretty pointless to bring this character-arc into the storyline and not go all the way.
Of course he's going to come back. He took an explosion that vaporized the flesh from his bones and incinerated all his organs and still healed back up in the comics.
That happened much later in the comics where they made his healing factor on pair with the Hulk and Deadpool. Before that his healing factor wasn't that strong.
@@Member_Of_the_Golden_Dawn Technically, in Ultimatum, Magneto used his powers to manipulate Iron Man's armor and Cyclops' visor to blast Wolverine. Although he managed to heal and stab Magneto on the chest, Magneto used his powers again, this time finishing off Wolverine and destroying his cells.
So if i remember correctly directly after this Xavier attacks Magneto in a fit of rage, wiping his mind... but his consciousness kind of mixes with Xavierd and it creates the ultra villain known as Onslaught. I kind of suspected Onslaught was on his way as the major players, such as captain American and Doom (who joins forces with the Xmen), have been popping up.
indeed. i imagine onslaught being born creates a psychic threat that goes beyond what magneto, bastion, sinister, or anyone was anticipating. charles is still in there... but he is broken... tired... and his mercy is all spent. as he decides to give the earth a taste of a fraction of the collective guilt they are responsible for. a mass psychic link followed by charles/onslaught judging... then executing those he deems most deserving. with no defense. bastion... Sinister... PSYCHICALLY DESTROYED... then he moves on to the next down the list... we get pleading... requests for charles to stop... but... no... he won't. of course... the X-men will be spared... most heroes will be spared... but... a lot of people are going to die unless something is done... and that something cannot happen in the present. and probably not without shi-ar intervention.
@ExiaAvalancheMkII well since the FF showed up and Captain America is around (meaning Avengers shouldn't be far behind) would tell me they're all coming together.
After this, Wolverine leaves the X-Men, his regen. factor gets damaged and wanders alone. He has a battle with Deadpool, where he gets his regeneration back, but his mutations also starts to evolve making him more feral. He fights Sabretooth in Xavier's mansiion and leaves again to live in the forest... then Elektra and Stick (Daredevil's master) help him to get back on the path of heroism... I hope we see this in next season.
Cyclops would've stopped them as he shot Xavier's chair to stop him from wiping Magneto's mind. But next time, Xavier would be too powerful and reflect Cyclops' optic beams. Xavier will be corrupted by Magnus' mind and become Onslaught.
You know if she was cut throat enough she could easily just detonate an explosion in side Magneto's skull and trigger a massive stroke. Her power is to detonate nano particles of matter in the atmosphere, controlling the intensity, color and direction of the explosions.
Nothing would have an effect on Magneto anyway if he had his barrier up the whole time protecting him. It didn't make any sense for him to let it down. I guess the story needed a way for Wolverine to get the helmet off when he cheap shot him from behind when his barrier was down.
Adamantium is nearly indestructible, but it is also ferromagnetic. Meaning that Wolverine is still vulnerable to magnetism. This was an iconic comics scene as Magneto liquefied the adamantium bonded to Wolverine's bones and pulled it out through his skin.
Of they are not for the cause, then what use are they? He gave them multiple chances before, but he sides with the humans who continue to prosecute mutants despite trying his best to cooperate F em
Hypocrites- Genocide 16 milion of mutants, teenager, childrens, baby, pregnant, and for absolute no reason Also Magneto - Destroying all world communication and weapon and declaring war against humans, taking of authority of everyone in the world, setting a new society for freedom and protection, using force to set minimum rights for mutants to at least not being hunter and tortured and killed for no reason even again, its include, teengagers, childrens, and babys Hypocrites-Pichachu Face :O absolute doesn't make sense.🤯 (its absolute make sense)
You know, after so many years of movie and show adaptations. it's a bit crazy how we're finally getting a marvel show that actually follows the source material
What's wild is that those of us who have read the source material know that no one ever really dies (and Wolverine probably isn't dead if they follow the comics) But the genius of this show is that you've got an entirely new audience suddenly checking out the comics to see what Fatal Attractions is or who Onslaught is (You're creating a new generation of X-Men fans) And even KNOWING what is coming, this is still shocking and surprising. What a fantastic show - I'm not ready for season one to end.
it's kind of ironic how shows like invincible and x-men 97 feel like a breath of fresh air bc they are ACTUALLY following the source material instead of doing their own thing. After so many decades of movie and show adaptations of superhero comics, it's nice to see creatives seeing the strengths of the source material and pleasing old audiences while also introducing a new generation of fans
He didn't die, dude; in case you forgot, he's got a healing factor. He gets bone claws for a short time but becomes more animalistic, and the team has to get the adamantium back onto his skeleton.
You mean the X-men trying to stop Magento when he’s the only one stopping a literal army of genocidal mind controlled techno organic cyborgs from kill and or enslaving a entire race of people who just suffered a genocidal attack? And his only goal being to leave and let humanity suffer the consequences of their actions. And the only X-men living that saw said genocidal attack sides with him? Yeah I’m going to stick with Magneto was right.

Iconic moment but always hated seeing Wolverine in that much anguish😭😭😭😭Im in my 40’s and it’s still hard for me to watch lol. I was in my teens when I first saw it. I so glad he survived!
Doesn't he mutate into a feral form after he loses the adamantium since it was poisoning him and his healing power was constantly fighting the poison and stunting his mutation?
This logan doesn't have bone claws I'm afraid. Being a sequel series to the original run in the 90's. We saw the claws were implanted with his adamantium. He did utilise claws in WW2 though but those were climbing tools.
In TOLERANCE EXTINCTION (Part 1) they foreshadow the "Fatal Attraction" event by drawing wolverine W/ bone claws in his right hand at time stamp 29:00 when Professor X arrives. He & Nightcrawler are standing in the door way when he pops bone claws.

Theres a separate arc called the death of wolverine where he actually dies there (portrayed well in the movie Logan). He'll be fine here, just wont see him for a while as he'll need to regenerate and get his bone claws out
As a kid I always loved Magneto and I was a grown up I get Magneto even more the simple fact is that the person in the wrong is actually Professor X in my opinion I don't know who else agrees with me but you gave the school to Magneto so that's your fault number one. His first thing was to get Magneto to take his rage out on a villain instead of the humans and then double-cross Magneto that's what I would have done. They have enough people to do so or you can just wait till Magneto does his master plan and just watch from the sidelines and then make sure to kill Sinister in his little crazy group😅
Wolverine won't die in this scene. But the adamantium being ripped from his skeleton will cause charles to go on the offensive and shut magneto down, and Onslaught will be there waiting.
It's amazing how the last part ends with a still picture of Logan's situation, a similar technique used in anime for years. Some scenes doesn't need to be animated.
