Greetings, tankers! Today we are pumping up the level 8 Italian heavy tank Progetto CS55 Mod. 54 in World of Tanks. Let's look at the parameters of the new car and take a quick look at comparison with its classmates.
He has a 105 mm gun with a one-time damage of 320 units, which is the average for a level 8 heavy weapon. Armor penetration with a basic armor-piercing projectile is just normal 220 mm. But the gold subcaliber penetrates only 242 mm, which is one of the lowest values among its classmates.
But 105 mm land mines can be very effective against level 6-7 vehicles and even some “eights”.
Accuracy is mediocre 0.38 at 100 meters (at 100% crew), but the aiming time is quite fast for this caliber. What's really depressing is the long cooldown between shots. And a complete reload also takes quite a long time, even if you play from the last shell in the magazine.

Due to the powerful engine, the thrust-to-weight ratio is excellent 17.7 hp/t (the best among its classmates), so the tank turned out to be very dynamic, but its maneuverability is mediocre. Another unpleasant point is that the viewing radius is only 370 meters. Compared to other tanks, this is not so bad, but in battles with levels 9 and 10 the tank will feel weak-sighted.
New tank Progetto CS55 Mod. 54 is clearly not immature and is demanding of the player’s skill. Only with proper use of the nuances of the modified reloading of the drum will it be possible to use the weapon as efficiently as possible. If you play like a regular drum tank or with cyclic reloading, then the technique will not reveal itself to the maximum and will leave mixed impressions.
