I was upsate with the pups before, it’s truly a great program and only the best inmates get the privilege of having them so they’re in good hands .. it’s pretty cool
I love when the dogs come into the visiting room. It's so exciting to watch them progress and learn new tricks each week. After this long visiting suspension, I imagine there will be a lot of changes when we see them again. The handlers do an excellent job of training the dogs. :)
Prison is confusing, because society condemns people with certain crimes. But everyone isn't in there for the same thing. So if a person is in there for 2 years or 30 years. It should rehabilitate the inmate, and they should be treated humanely. But on the flip side... there's people in these institutions for some very disturbing and wicked crimes. So I'm sure the family of the victim(s) doesn't appreciate watching prisoners having fun.
I’d keep in mind that they don’t take everybody into the puppy program. I’ve watched a lot of these videos for my mental health and pretty much all of them stated you can’t have a history of violence towards any living creature and also be a part of the program. The vast majority of inmates in these programs are there for non-violent offenses.
What? My brother was just at sci smithfield but only for quarantine. He's at camp hill now for classifications then will go to his home prison but more prisons need this.

I am so happy that all the dogs are getting trained. The inmates are getting me responsibility that change in your life and it's a good thing all around the prison. Needs to get a training the dogs get a new home. It's a win win situation I love c n n
